He was an actor who could do a lot without really doing very much at all. He was different in other parts but still was extremely sparse with the way he reacted. That's actually really difficult to pull off. Definitely a talent taken far too soon.

He was in an epsiode of Lead Balloon, playing a laconic shopkeeper. So good. Can be watched time and time again and still brings a smile to the face. RIP.
