After the game tomorrow I’m seeing Pendulum at The 02 then after the Sheff Weds game it’s Underworld at Ally Pally.

Remember being at the end of season 4-0 drubbing at Norwich in 2017 (Josh Bowler’s only QPR appearance) and saving the day out by seeing the legend that is Big Daddy Kane that night at the Waterfront.

It’s a long old day and you need to pace yourself but can’t beat a good QPR/gig double header.

I was once working with a band on a tour and while we were in Sheffield I saw a bunch of QPR supporters around. I didn't know QPR were playing that day until I saw them. I managed to sneak off for a couple of hours to see us beat Sheffield United and then made it back in time for the gig.

Not a deliberate double header but a happy coincidence.

Think I've posted this before, but after we beat Wednesday for promotion out of Div 2 I went to watch The Rapture at The Octagon. I swear to god, when they came on the stage they tuned up playing pigbag, and it confused the shìt out of everyone around me when a drunk bloke kept shouting "hoops"

A few that spring to mind.....

That game when Man Utd knocked us out of the FA Cup & we all sung how Paul Ince is a wánker, I rushed back to London to see Tindersticks play a gig with an orchestra at the Bloomsbury Theatre. That gig was released as a live album, and in my opinion it's one of the greatest live albums of all time.

Another away game disappointment, the Coventry game when Eoin fücking Jess scored the only goal of his Coventry career & pretty much relegated us, I rushed back to London again because I had tickets for Natalie Merchant at Shepherds Bush Empire.

About 10 years ago, a pretty forgettable home win v Cardiff (we won with a late Ashley Richards own goal) then a load of us headed to the 100 Club for an evening of Thames Estuary garage mod-punk in the company of Graham Day & The Gaolers & the modtastic Len Price 3.

I don't live in London these days, so whenever I come down for a home game I always have a good look at what gigs are on.
Hoping to get to the home game on 20th April, and then go to see Omni at Moth Club afterwards.

34 years ago this month, there was another memorable QPR match that I did NOT attend because I already had tickets for a gig just down the road in Hammersmith.

Don’t shoot me but after the win today Mrs Andybrat and I are seeing Marti Pellow at the Hammersmith Odeon ( Apollo I know). To be clear this was part of her Christmas present but suspect I may enjoy as well. Would be appropriate if it rains today ( Wet Wet Wet),

One of the very few celebrities I have met. I bumped into him by accident years ago, when I was returning a video at Blockbuster Video in Ascot. Younger readers may need some help understanding this concept

I saw this person strolling round the store with a hint of rockstar swagger but initially couldn't work out who it was. No one was paying him any attention. I couldn't resist going up to him and asking if he indeed was Marti, he confirmed that he was, and I told him - in a non-sexual way, note - that he was looking well. He responded with a Fonz-style, double thumbs up, "Thanks, man".

His presence explained what the black Mercedes sports car outside the shop, with a plate beginning "WWW," was all about. I'd parked my pushbike next to it
