If it hadn't been for Mbia we'd probably have played the game out and got a point.

What I have a problem with was the way we played around Arsenal's box - so so tentative and lacking in drive. Mackie did more in injury time than the rest of them did all game.

That part of things certainly needs fixed.

Part of me wants to see a bit of stability (like everyone else on here I guess) but then I also want to see Hughes either sacked, or told to f*cking go for it instead of sitting back waiting for the opposition score, I can't recall us causing their keeper problems until Mackies effort ffs, why did SWP play? He was a liability again today and we should've had Park or Faurlin instead.
I'm frustrated with the whole game, M'Bia was a f*cking idiot, the goal was well offside and the lino is a pr!ck for staring into space, but that's not the big problem here! Why must Hughes set up a defensive team that barely just manages to get out of their own box for possibly around an hour, this would be acceptable with last years side because they aren't nearly as good as what we have now, but with Taarabt, Hoillett, Granero and Diakite playing, we should not be spending most of the game in our own half barely hanging on to their coats! Maybe it's best to keep Hughes in charge in case it does manage to turn around, but it's so frustrating to see us give up hope before the game has even begun!!!

Plank? Excellent riposte. I have to give you credit - its one i haven't heard for a while! Just for the record, I am not happy he keeps picking SWP and cant understand it either. But to have a go after that smacks of forgetting who we are. Whether you like it or not, Arsenal are one of the best sides in the League and in truth, we should of got something from the game. I want us to be more attacking and cant understand with the players we have why we aren't but Hughes cant be blamed for a centre half losing his head and a poor linesman decision that cost us a point. In the grand scheme of things, maybe. But based on today alone, criticism is unjust in my opinion. If you truly believe had we played open expansive football today that Wilshire and Arteta wouldnt of pulled us apart then fair enough - I happen to think his tactics werent far wrong for today's game. that said, I agree with you and countless others regarding SWP selection. For this, he has to be held accountable.

If you continue to do the same things you get the same results. We cannot and will not stay up if we don't win away from home. It doesn't matter whether it's against Arsenal, Norwich or anyone else, we don't try to win. How many efforts did we have on goal against an average defence. Same old. SWP same old.
