We can't sack Ramsey, which has been obviously necessary long before we even went down last year, because he's Ferdinand's man - if we sack CR it fatally undermines Les.
Also Ferdinand is a DOF and a lot of proper managers of Allardyce's ilk won't work under one.
So we now have a brittle structure in place that ties us to a clearly incompetent manager. Another horrible mess from Fernandes.

I don't think sacking Ramsey undermines Ferdinand, it would ultimately be Ferdinands choice as DoF.
Also I think perhaps some managers might not like a DoF over them but that's the best structure for the club to ensure we keep a philosophy while players and managers come and go. We could easily find a manager from Europe to work in the structure...perhaps di canio. |  | | |

What credentials do you need to be DoF?
Everyone moaned that TF has no football experience and nobody at a high level had enough experience to control managers and make footballing decisions about the club. Now we have someone with a football background and he has no "credentials". We even have Lee hoos on the board for added experience.
Our only issue is that Ferdinand was allowed to employ a friend and the decision to fire him is with Ferdinand so he's may have conflicting interests.
I'd give Ramsey the Bolton game as an opportunity to show he's worth and for the players to show they want him as manager. If we have another performance like yesterday I'd sack him and try to get a replacement head coach over the international break. | | | |

The last person we want is Allardyce. Nor do we want a complete clearout of all the coaching staff etc. I'd even take a decent experienced number 2 coming in at this point (No offence Steve Gallen)
The reality is we have a rookie manager, rookie assistant manager and rookie Dof. The total sum of their experience in this league is 9 games. So its no surprise we are where we are. I think its naive to think its not worth having one experienced head around the place.
There are a number of managers out their out of work currently with a Championship promotion on their CV, I would rather have a settled approach in our set up and there is lots that Ramsey and Ferdinand have done that is good, given where we were coming from but the reality is the tactics / in game management is looking highly suspect |  | | |
