Interested in sensible views on this. What do we need, why and any particular individuals in mind?

For me the lack of leadership and character on the pitch is a massive worry and that needs addressing.

Ready to be shot down in flames, I'd start with Delaney at Palace who apparently is not in Sam's plans. Can play centre half and left back, held his own in the premier league and would provide that leadership missing at the back.

Would Crouch come for a swansong and plug the striking gap? Seems to be some speculation that Rangers will rip up their policy to get an experienced striker up top.

In midfield I'd like to see Doughty get some games and Furlong at right back. I'm struggling with a suggestion for a Derry/Nolan type of character. Win the ball and give it. Jedanik at Villa possible or maybe Charlie Adam not a regular at Stoke and did well under Holloway at Blackpool?

I appreciate those names may not set the world alight, but desperate times require desperate measures.

Any thoughts?

I would stick with loan deals only .

No one of any quality is going to come on a permanent deal and with our owners there is every chance that we could have another manager in place by the summer.

This bunch of players with the loanees returning should be capable of staying up.

We need someone who can score in this division , not the one below or overseas but this one , now , next week .

We need a dog in midfield who fires everyone up . I think Borysiuk can do that but he seems out of favour . I also would like Doughty to get a go

We need a proper right back , not a centre half playing there . I think Furlong should be given a go , with the protection of Mackie in front of him .

Lets see a way of playing decided on and players recruited to play it .

I think Bircham needs help , someone experienced .

Someone to ensure that no man or beast ever has to see Perch play at right back again. Or anywhere.

someone who can score a goal would be nice, Darryl Murphy or Crouch on loan seem good options but they will probably have the pick of clubs

Kemar Roofe.

What happened to him? Has he played for Leeds at all?

Bring in Peter Crouch and play Silla next to him, Shodipo on the wing and Get Jack Robinson fit with the exocet throw ins and we might just score some goals.
Ravel Morrison because he can make and score goals which is more than some of ours can do right now.

Agree with the point re loan deals. Although if the economics made sense a short term permanent deal could work. Crouch for example has a fairly good fitness record so would be worth an 18 month deal imo

I would concentrate on forwards/ attacking midfielder s. Are sylla, Washington etc going to get us enough goals? No way. I think the defence ders we have should be OK if the organization was right. Every successful defence isn't just the back four its what's in front of them and what they've been practicing. Perch is a competent enough player for the championship, but anyone would look crap in our back four at the moment

With no short term loan deals anymore and no recalls allowed, getting a decent loan in is going to be more difficult than previously as, at this stage of the season, most clubs will want to hang on to players, just in case.

I'm kind of hoping that we get whoever we are targeting fcking pronto, not waiting until the last day of bloody January and all the stupid madness that these transfer windows create.
Get working on it and get them signed up PDQ you know get on the case now.

Hughes won't let crouch go in Jan as they are losing players to the African nations

I'd like to get 1 nippy wee turd of a goalscorer in. Then spend the rest of the £11.50 in Tone's bank account on sending Olly to a hypnotherapist to help him figure out what to do with this squad. There has to be enough in there to at least stay up and have a handful of enjoyable games shirley?

Brentford have supposedly just rejected a bid of £7m from Reading for Scott Hogan, just to remind you all exactly what we're up against.

Loan suits us best I think - David Nugent, Lewis Grabban, Jerome Sinclair, Dominic Solanke.

Huge fan of Ravel but I imagine he'd be a disaster coming into this situation now.

Now might be the time to sign Andre Pierre.

Grabban is a very good (realistic) shout. Sinclair has had the usual comments made about his attitude, and not sure this is the right situation for a kid of his age, but he'd be a clear improvement on Washington.

I liked what I've seen of Ashley Fletcher, and he was meant to be available even before the Defoe to West Ham stories started - but think Leeds have that one sewn up, with the promise of a play-off place thrown in.

Problem is the same one we've had every window since we came down, only more so - without spending stupid money, it's hard to see what we can offer a player or selling/parent club that at least a dozen other Championship teams can't outdo.

Also, it's all a bit pointless if we don't have proper first team coaches.

Poll: Who is the Best QPR Chairman in the last 25 Years?

This window will be very tough.

There are 20 other clubs in a far better position than us so in order to tempt players we need to offer lots of money.
Obviously we shouldn't be slinging 3 year deals to has beens under the guise of 'bringing in experience'.

Players like Grabban, Fletcher, Nugent etc would walk into any Championship side in the division... so why would they come to QPR ahead of teams like Fulham, Sheff Weds, Wolves etc who will be making big moves in January.

I think variety needs to be the spice of life for us this window and I feel a combination of the following would be decent.

A no lose situation by bringing in a Prem youngster on loan, someone like Chris Willock from Arsenal who could have a Tammy Abraham style impact or could flop, either way it won't affect the club particularly long term.

A grizzled Championship pro. Someone who knows the league and can come in and lift the place like Danny Cullip did under Gregory and Derry did under Warnock. A leader to help lift the burden on Onouha

A lower league punt. We can't afford the top brass so need to gamble on someone like Akinde, Bogle, or Taylor... who all may not be good enough but also could absolutely fly.

Yes we are struggling, but it's important not to get carried away and do what we did in the PL under Redknapp and try to spend our way out of trouble.

The stupid thing to do would be to bring in someone Chamack on a 3 year deal because he is a name

There again, the concern with bringing in a job lot of loan players is that it just ends up further destabilising and demoralising the club.

As memory serves, one of the first things Warnock insisted on when he took over was to put a stop to the endless reliance on loans that we'd been drawn into since Holloway was here the first time.

His logic, which was proven absolutely right, was that it was impossible to build real team spirit when half the team were only ever here until the summer.

Of course, the difference was that we had money available for permanent deals then.

Oh well. Anyone got Adel's number?
