Really ? We've sold the most tickets for a play off final and our game against Derby hasn't been bettered before or since.
Tarquins still advertising tickets ,shocking on 12:20 - May 13 with 3411 views | Esox_Lucius | I believe we held the record for the old Wembley too vs WBA when they returned a load of their tickets for the final. We had between 60-66k fans that day. I suppose it being just around the corner from LR helps too LOL

We had near enough capacity for the Wigan game (17,061) bearing in mind Wigan IIRC didn't bring down a full allocation.

Yes, a final as opposed to a semi on a Saturday rather than a weekday. Craven Cottage holds nearly 26000 so around 23000 home fans. We could probably just about sneak that but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Tarquins still advertising tickets ,shocking on 15:24 - May 13 with 3128 views | Boston | We've had mixed results when it comes to turn outs. Good, at Wembley twice, against WBA and Oxford Utd, poor v Spurs, particularly the first game. We didn't sell out at Highbury for that semi and I bought three tickets only days before the Oldham ('best ever atmosphere at Loftus Rd') match, which astounded me as I'd previously been given one by an MB Poster as I didn't think there'd be a cat in hells chance of there being any left by the time I'd got over from the States. I'd say a few more than that. 66,000 there that day and Cardiff (even though it was on their doorstep) didn't have 10,000 more than us IMO.

Tarquins still advertising tickets ,shocking on 16:22 - May 13 with 2978 views | Konk | All this confirms to me is that we are a small/medium sized club in the current make up of the division. Most Fulham fans would appear to get along to games fairly regularly. I don’t think we have 10-20,000 ‘fans’ who will turn out for a big game, but sit at home the rest of the time. And that doesn’t trouble me as I’ve never had delusions that we’re anything other than what we are. Since relegation our lowest average has been 17,500+ - this season it’s 20,000+, so not much movement between finishing 20th and 3rd. Us and Orient are perhaps the only clubs in the country without our own catchment areas/latent supports - perhaps that explains the virtual absence of rent a crowd fans?

Tarquins still advertising tickets ,shocking on 16:59 - May 13 with 2886 views | Lblock | QPR has a Battlestar Gallatica support - we are a small but incredibly loyal base; however our numbers will always swell at times of need or big occasions A rag tag outfit who are sometimes very underestimated As for a play off semi in a 26,000 seated stadium. Yep, I think we’d cane that

The swell numbers, in my experience, are remote friends and family plus a lot of those banned historically Same in most clubs Foolham and us very similar I’d say Bentford are just Toytown and very dependant on League position

25,000 Fulham who really care !? You must have the most apathetic support in the country. Loads just seem to see it as a day out like you would at the cricket or theatre and don't really care what the score is . It's a really odd atmosphere and never seen it at any other ground. As for you wanting 25k at Wembley yeah I'm sure you would love it having loads of empty seats everywhere it would really help create an atmosphere and inspire your players

Surely the most apathetic supports are those that can’t find their way to home games, but turn out for cup finals and play-off games? Ours might not make the most noise when they’re in the ground, but they do turn up. I would guess there are something like 30-35,000 people in the World that care deeply about Fulham, so without friends, family and long-lost fans turning out, I don’t think we’d shift a full Wembley allocation; especially not at current prices. Anyone who was at the Cottage for Blues in 2008 or Juve/HSV in 2010 would tell you that you can get a cracking atmosphere at Fulham even though the acoustics are crap - we often can’t hear the away support. Same for numerous cup games over the years and my point about 25,000 proper fans is that we sometimes used to have a better atmosphere for early league cup games than some Premier League games, because everyone at those games cared. If we do get to Wembley, it will be our first game there since ‘75, so I would expect people to be flying in from all corners of the globe. I would genuinely enjoy the day more if I were surrounded by people who could name our keeper, rather than a bus load of people covered in face paint who couldn’t tell you what number Johnny Haynes wore. Even if that meant a half empty end.
