'Upstart Crow Lockdown Christmas 1603' I think will go down as one of the best written Christmas TV specials of all time. An absolute masterpiece of satirical comic writing and acting. If you didn't catch it here's the link. As close to genius as it gets. Plaguey beaks!

Here's the link if you missed it

Never knowingly right.

Really liked the previous series - to my embarrassment I quite like Shakespeare- will watch later.
Whilst on TV antidepressants- Ive just discovered King Gary - the under 9 football episode is accurate genius. To top it all the under 9 team I managed was also called the Badgers!

I thoroughly enjoyed it last night. Every Covid-19 observation was beautifully crafted and delivered. It's well worth a(nother) look.

Nothing to be embarrassed about liking Shakespeare. I have been a member of the Globe for the last eight years after being dragged kicking and screaming to watch Taming of the Shrew in September 2012. From that evening I was converted and now try and get there around six times every summer, sometimes watching a performance more than once. It is amazing the amount of sayings that we use today that have come from the quill of the Bard.

Upstart Crow is quite brilliant and especially recommend the one where Shakespeare is having trouble with writing a Midsummer Nights Dream.

Thanks for the tip off.
By St Timothy’s tiny testicles I had not been previously aware of such merriment.

You da Bard!

Thank you for the reminder Bosh!

Loved Upstart Crow ever since binge watching all three series on holiday one year.

I know a lot of people like him as Jim in Friday Night Dinner, but I think Mark Heap is superb as Robert Greene.

Mark Heap is also brilliant in Spaced and Green Wing!
Another vote here for Upstart Crow although I’ve not seen the Christmas Special yet.

Futtocking snobs.

Visited Stratford upon Avon last year and found it a fascinating place.

Had tickets to the west end Upstart Crow which were for two days after the first lockdown started.
