The Fablemans @ Curzon, Mayfair 18:20 - Jan 26 with 1487 viewsDixie_CT

I took the other half to watch this last night at the Curzon on Curzon St. in Mayfair.

Firstly, the cinema, what a beautiful space, Curzon is so refreshing against a backdrop of Vue, Odeon, and Cineworld. Curzon is an expensive option, but £11 a ticket on Wednesdays isn’t too bad.

The film, I was engrossed, and I loved it. I Love movies about creative dreamers and coming-of-age stuff. Some won’t enjoy it as it is a bit whisy washy and, like many films these days, 30 minutes too long, but the production, casting, and music, were on point. Michelle Williams was phenomenal.

probably going to regret this but here you go Dixie, keep it on the hush hush...
London's best kept secret cinema at present for me is the Garden Cinema in Covent Garden.
It's a vanity project for a guy that loves cinema and he has made a jewel of a place with two screens and a fantastic bar. He shows films that he loves - presently has a jack Nicholson season - I've seen Witches of Eastwick and About Schmidt in the last 10 days. they also show quite alternative box office, saw Cortage there too. Lifetime membership is £20 and they have members screenings and discounted tickets.
they've got a Terry Giliam season coming up....
Fabelmans looks interesting....

Went to the cinema once last year and that was a screening of a series - Pistol. But it was 6 hours long and at the NFT. A great day out.

Someone recommended me a film recently called Flux Gourmet.

I still haven't seen Pistol, Danny...... would love to have seen the series at the NFT.
Hope they show it again there, I'm a member there too.
