"To me, to you" Chuckle Brothers in London - The Qpr Vs Rotherham Matc
at 15:59 24 Feb 2024

Typically Rangers.

Thy are a big side and we are a side full of cowards. Hodge and Hayden very poor today as is Paal. No-one attacking the ball in their area, no-one following up any of the shots we have had. Of course Johansen is having a blinder; he does every time we play them.

Still feels like we have not got a goal in us. Frey manfully running around, but being marked out of it in their penalty area.

Willock OK; Dunne playing well as is JCS and Cook.

We have GOT to score early here otherwise I can see the clock being run down and them getting a second (Hugill, naturally) in the 89th minute.

All so predictable...

No mention that the use of VPNs to use QPR+ is not permitted. Presumably the club want the fans to get a VPN and go to Belgium whenever they can't get to a Saturday 3pm kick off.

Interesting...

So go on - that ref yesterday
at 15:28 18 Feb 2024

Stopping the game for injuries, not head injuries, just injuries.

Bell went down clearly having done his hamstring and sat down. Play carried on until the ref stopped play about 15 seconds later. No head injury, just a routine hamstring tweak, but apparently that warranted a stop in play. Then, to compound his ineptitude, the ref. allowed Bristol City players to stand five yards in front of Steve Cook for an "uncontested" drop ball and then, er, well, challenge him leading to a hoof down the line conceding possession.
If he hadn't stopped play, we were away down the left.

Then someone else went down (again NOT a head injury) when the Bristol City left back had possession with his back to goal surrounded by two Rangers Players and the ref whistled again restarting the game with a free uncontested (properly this time) drop ball ten yards in and ten yards further forward from where Bristol City had possession, this time pressure free.

On the second of these, the payer was not asked to leave the pitch and they just carried on with possession. Both gave Brizzle a significant advantage from where the ball was when he unnecessary whistled.

Anderson went down with an injury just before going off. No whistle. We had to kick the ball out ourselves.

Consistency is all we ask for. Every week win lose or draw we never get that; they remain a disgrace to their "profession"...

(I miss Pinner reacting to my consistent criticism of referees - Paul, are you out there???!!!)

Jimmy Dunne at RB - yay or indeed nay?
at 14:52 18 Feb 2024

Positionally looked really, really lost for the first twenty and with Willock in front of him I was amazed that City did not try to target that side. Like many others, he improved into the game, but was helped massively when their sub, whose first name on their screen really was Dire, came on. He lived up to that name and looked like a fan who won a place on the team at half time - one of the worst performances I have seen live in many a year.

We can never fault Jimmy Dunne's effort, but he still is not that clever and I wouldn't expect him to follow too much instruction. However, a vast improvement in the last couple of appearances which is not difficult as he had an abysmal start to the season.

Reggie needed a rest though and if Kakay really is out of the picture and Drewe isn't that good, Dunne was worth a go I guess.

Can he do it against Rotherham at home on a late February Saturday afternoon though?

Likely knackered; he has not been playing, so it'll be tough to get 90 out of him for a while...

Did lil' Kenny trouble the scorer? Not sure he should on that showing...

Special shout out to Kenny in amidst the dross, he lowered the bar to a new all time low. Yes he always has a nice touch, yes he looks classy when in his own half, but he was absolutely abysmal today. The "elbow" in the face taking him out of the game (do me a favour), the dead ball classiness wasting every single attempt, the brainless offside despite seeing all the way along the line, running the ball out for a goal kick when we were in the ascendency and the weak as pss defending. It was the direct opposite of a masterclass.

There was some shockers out there tonight - Chair and Hayden the other chief suspects alongside offside Armstrong and wasteful Smyth, but none sunk as low as lil' Kenny tonight - utterly disgraceful showing.

All of these improvements mean absolutely fck all when you have five chances to get out of the bottom three and each time you put a shower of crap like that out.

Still no spine, still no fight. Cannot cope with going behind. Cannot cope with Sh**housery. Cannot string two or three passes together. Cannot shoot, Cannot cross. Cannot take or defend set pieces reliably.

That one had relegation all over it.

That bastard hope has done it again, hasn't it?

Rubbish half after a bright first 10-15 minutes.

...and now we are behind to a goal that was coming for the last ten minutes. We need to come out of the blocks fast this half, but not sure we are capable of that.

CMONNNNNNNN.

The rise and fall of a player

Thing is dropping him is a risk in itself as his point of not giving a s**t may be bought forward a month or two. We may need even a semi interested Willock due to the thin squad we have.

Agree.

He was always going to go into self preservation mode at some point irrespective of our position in the league - it's just him, it's what he does.

He's got every right to run his contract down and not even entertain an extension with this club who bought him back from the obscurity of Benfica's B Team.

And we've got every right to greet him back to LR in whatever way we want after he leaves.

Such a shame; he really looked to be growing Eze-esque at one point in his second season. A quiet, but likeable lad with a really good attitude on the pitch. But the modern day footballer - no tosses given for the team that pays his wage; all purely transactional on his and his dad's part, just waiting to maximise earnings by turning up at a place as a free agent taking part of what would have been a transfer fee all for himself.
The rules mean that they can do that and the rules mean (yet again) that clubs on limited income will be on even more limited income whilst the top teams and Chel*** can spend wtf they want with no repercussions.

Tha's what galls me about him - he is decent, but he was a disgrace last season; no fight when up against it, ultimate bottle job.

"He never hid when he was with us" from Loyalitat. He hid every single game in the second half of the season and some of his performances were disgraceful - the back pass to Seny that nearly ended up in an OG during one of the later home games in the season and his tendency to hit the Paddocks when "playing out". OK, so he did not like Ainsworth, but my god, like so many of them, he could not be arsed to play for us. A sulky child. A Bottle Job. A "I'm better than this" Merchant. Could not wait to get out the door to get to a safe, midtable operation where he could play without pressure. Weak as Pss, no fight.

No, I do not like him and a couple of own goals plus a sending off would go down a treat.

But we are QPR and we don't get nice things, so no doubt he'll have a stormer a score a 30 yard shitpinger.

Can only look after ourselves and not worry about who is playing who when. Six more wins. Six.

That's probably the ask although seven might be nice.

There is soooooo much rubbish in this league. Preston are three points off the playoffs ffs and how bad were they against us?

The Ainsworth handicap is what will kill us if we do go down. Like Wednesday, everyone else had a massive head start on us.

If we had beaten Weds like we should and if we'd beaten Udders at their place like we should, the world would be looking rather different...

Exactly our thoughts here - Not exactly mobile, is he?

Better clarify this before the positivity police come out. On that showing, he is back up to Dykes and Armstrong, which is absolutely fine by me. He is an upgrade on Kelman. Hodge is an upgrade on the friendly ghost that was Dozzell and Hayden is more than an upgrade on SDM.

Cook, JCS, Cannon, Paal, Chair, Smyth, Dykes and Armstrong need to stay fit; very fit...
