can't bloody wait for this to start, for some reason i fancy a tight 2-1 defeat for the Lions but expect some very tight matches.

What do people see being the starting line up (baring the obvious injuries) going into the first test

Tramps, I'll be supporting the same team Leanne Wood will be, plus live from his grave Owain Glyndwr will be giving expert analysis at every break in play.

Sport is tribal, are you quarter Irish, quarter Scottish, quarter English and quarter Welsh ?
The British and Irish Lions is a strange concept to some.

Not to anybody who understands Rugby Union.

Living with the Pride 2009 Lions Tour on Sky Sports 2 now, watched them all week very good.

Dry for the game, which is good, as it's been p1ssing down up there, the last day or two.

I read that All Black squad members will be released to play for their provincial teams ahead of the 3 test matches.

Yeah some will be, for the Blues on Wednesday and maybe the Crusaders the following Saturday, but not the other 3 games.

The Blues rested a few players from their game last night, so I expect quite a strong Blues team, although they are the weakest NZ Super rugby team.

You won't see a better piece of defending than Talaupe just did there.

A rusty first 40 minutes but I didn't expect anything different.

There's a lot to do between now and the midweek game which will represent a real test.

Hogg has been sh1t, making a good case for not picking any Scottish players for the Lions.

Lions look like Wales first half, robotic and crash bang stuff.

Typical start to a Tour, interesting 2nd half coming up Hogg can't be as bad 2nd half as he was in that 1st, I'm expecting a resurgence this half.

Nice to see a homer of a Ref, lineout not straight then a clear knockon which ended up as a lineout to the Barbers, then a joking high tackle lovely stuff

Barnes is a complete and utter f*ckwit.

What cack that was. We need to learn to deal with the constant borderline (definite) offside defence asap.

If that's the standard it will be a bigger humping than 2005. On the plus side Laidlaw (my 12 year old grand niece is a better scrum half) and Sexton will be nowhere near a test side.

Not that it'll matter if the front five play like that.

Gatland is notorious for targeting the big games though, and actually even more notorious for being too tactically stupid to ever beat a half decent Southern Hemisphere team, so I'd be inclined to ignore the provincial games. They're going to be painful viewing.

I'm quite happy with that, yes we probably should have seen them off with a higher scoreline, but a win's a win, if that penalty goes over it could have opened the game up and the lions could have had a few tries, no matter plenty to work on so all in all it was a good workout, for the first tour game.

I'm glad the Sexton myth is being blown up.
Conor Murray next please.

Barnes is glad we missed that kick, well he would be as he wanted them to go to the corner, he's predicting panic stations among the Lions team with a smile on his face, looks like he's desperate to see them fall flat on their faces, he's a 1st grade buffoon fair do's.

Pretty lethargic performance I thought, though Faletau and Moriarty eyes brilliant. Hogg and Sexton were dog shite.
