He's been absolutely useless at Spurs. Neither Warburton nor Frank were missed after leaving Brentford and both of them have failed since leaving Bees. Makes me think that Brentford's success is more about their owner, DoF, recruitment and set-up than the manager.

Could add Rosler and Dean Smith to the list it was always going to be a tough gig for Thomas.The spurs players weren’t having him it’s a big difference being head coach of a small club who sign players who are looking to move on to a. Very similar to Gerry, then. Players and fans at Spurs are deluded about their own status and significance, but it’s always the managers fault.
From little bits and pieces I’ve heard, he’s an exceptionally nice man. A friend works in security at Brentford and said he was first in, last out, but he knew the names of all the staff and talked to them like they were as important to the club as the players. He lived near me in Sheen, and the two guys in the butcher’s, one Fulham and one QPR, used to pull his leg every time he came in and he was happy to go along with it. |  | | |

Although I find Frank annoying, he had a good number and set up at Brentford, of which Keith Andrews is continuing to deliver, well at least for this season. Spurs have just become a corporate venture, stadium, NFL, concerts and a football team. |  | | |

This is not a case of hindsight but unfortunately he was always going to fail a lot sooner than normal. A combination of Spurs being, well, Spurs and what has already been said about players/fans inflated ego's but I also think certain Managers are suited to bigger clubs and other managers are suited to not so bigger clubs. IMO Frank falls into the latter.
However, when a club like Spurs shows interest I think any Manager owes it to themselves to give it a go if offered. Plus, as always, the financial package will outweigh what he was on at Brentford and he won't go hungry now he's sacked (not that he would have anyway had he stayed at Brentford). |  | | |

They’ve always had a massive sense of entitlement that’s not based in reality. At best they’re a cup team, not won the league since 1962 & rarely seriously competed for it.
