This looks about as unfathomable as any golf event that i can remember.
The only thing that I can say for certain is that those starting earlyish tomorrow might well get the best of the weather over the first two days.
I usually back loads in this but with few obvious angles I'm just going for some earlybirds that i like. If I had to pick just one I'd have Hatton. If I can have two it's Hatton and Dunne, if it's four then Hatton, Dunne, Pieters and Cantlay, but all of these are a bit short of experience to win an Open. The best with experience and form are drawn later in the day so it's the weather versus experience and I'm not clever enough to work out how much better weather compensates for lack of experience. I'd like Hatton to win though, as I just like him - a bit nuts but very good on his day.

Virtually impossible to call these days, seems like any one from 50 could win it.
I miss the days of Tiger Woods being 6/4 fav in every major. Even in his heyday he lost more than he won, you could clean up betting against him on Betfair. |  | | |
