The Going Rate 18:14 - Nov 14 with 1422 views | Boston | ....is there one for a clubs game being televised? One of the lads at work informs me that Maldon & Tiptree’s next cup match is on the box and they’re getting 75k for letting the cameras in. Seems a little light to me.

The Going Rate on 10:42 - Nov 15 with 1143 views | terryb | I can't find the figures for this season, but last year the figures that each club received for a live televised match were:- Round 1 £ 67,500 Round 2 £ 72,000 Round 3 £114,000 Round 4 £114,000 Round 5 £247,500 Round 6 £247,500 The payments for a live broadcast of a replay were 50% of these figures. Clubs also receive a payment if their match has been chosen to show the goals as the match is in progress. Add this to the prize fund money & you can see why non-league clubs love this competition! These figures are different to league games as Sky have nothing to do with it! I also don't know what fee the clubs received for the semi final or final. [Post edited 15 Nov 2019 10:46]

Fans want it both ways. If you want qpr to buy good players and also keep ticket prices where they are, qpr needs to be able to maximise revenues Why do you think qpr raised the age for senior discount eligibility? At the end of the day, the owners can’t take out dividends from the club, so any extra revenue gets passed back to the fan or invested in to the club

We might be getting £75k but we have been losing £85k of income when recent home matches have been moved and televised. We do have to remember though that we get an annual payment from the TV deal, albeit it is probably way too low in a competitive market place.
