Wales v Ukraine 17:28 - Jun 5 with 4522 viewsTGRRRSSS

Anyone watching?

Mostly Wales now after the non goal after about 2 mins from Ukraine.

I rather fancy Wales to win, and even before the Hyperbolic around the Scotland game it could play into Wales hands with all the focus and Souness comments etc.

If the game goes deep maybe into extra time I wonder if it could catch up a bit with Ukraine.

Was that Tony Roberts running on the pitch to hug Wayne Hennessey at the end?
Pleased for him that after a long career as a goalkeeping coach that he's going to a World Cup.

He went to hug Hennessy but he slipped through his arms

I was perplexed before the game when Martin Tyler stated that goal line technology wasn't in place as the Welsh FA refused to pay for it.

1) The game was played at Cardiff City's ground & that has to have the technology for The Championship. Is the FIFA system different?

2) Shouldn't FIFA have said b******s to that, it will be played elsewhere.

Was in Cardiff today meeting for cricket that was rained off so ended up watching game in Cardiff City centre in a Wetherspoons.

Strange actions by bouncer ejecting Ukrainian fans who had done nothing wrong. Very strange given that neutrals would have been all out for them to qualify

Was very quiet noise wise in there as Taffies were bricking it and their goalkeeper had a worldy of a game.

Fluke goal and extremely lucky to get through but heard loads of Welsh fancy Dan's after saying they were going to destroy England. Kind of over confidence that was not justified by their performance. Guessing 20 pints of Wetherspoons finest might have had some bearing on their analysis !!!

Couple chaps in England shirts were not treated with customary Welsh hospitality !!!

Can't imagine why ??? 🤣🤣🤣

I thought after the 2 early yellows for Wales it might be a card fest but since then oddly not, the 2nd was for dissent though to James.

Still hanging in there atm, absolutely peeing it down there.

I know why they use Cardiff stadium but why not use Millenium for this one?

Do they have separate sections for Cardiff and Swansea fans at their stadiums,or are club rivalries put to one side during internationals? They don’t seem to like each other much so it would be a good chance to settle some old scores if they mixed together.

We (Wales) were lucky to get through as Ukraine were the better side but that's football sometimes. I've sat through loads of Wales games through the years where we played well and yet ending up losing and failing to qualify for major championships, so just happy that this time we made it through.

We will need to play a lot better at the world cup to have a chance of getting out of the group - hopefully more of our players will be getting regular football at the start of next season.

Ho hum, will never hear the end of it up here now.I suppose it makes a change from people openly weeping in the streets when Wales lose.

Yesterday a statement was made that football has replaced Rugby Union as the number one sport in the principality.

Would this be in the numbers playing the game or the number of spectators?
