Tomorrow I shall stay at home and continue coughing and sneezing, by the way I done a match thread last season and we won at Cardiff.

But what fustrated me was when still in the game 1st half we failed to take advantage of our situations. We had 2 almost identical situations with Smyth running at them on the break. Play it left and Saito is 1-1, the second scenario was literally 5 on 3 in our favour and he runs down a blind alley (again, play it left and Saito is 1-1). Not saying it would have changed much but so infuriating when i know these situations are practised in training daily, to not even get a shot away from either was just criminal. Looking at that Boro team, no real superstars and most of the same crop from recent seasons, just extremly well drilled and effective at what they do.

Spot on. The difference between the teams I could see is that Boro passed the ball quickly up the pitch to a player moving into space. We have a set of dribblers who are fine taking people on down the wings (Smyth, Saito, Dembele, Chair, Poku), but not good enough at making the right choice, passing it quickly to a team-mate in space. It wasn't as if there were not options of team-mates in space for Smyth and Dembele to pass to. Make the ball do the work! We have looked our best with Vale making those sharp pass and move interventions. Hope he returns next week.

You come up against that and every team in the division would struggle.

You will if you stand off them and allow them to do it
