| Why do we keep conceding within 10 minutes of half time? 23:18 - Feb 24 with 695 views | Jules4367 | Yes this one’s for you A! If a shopkeeper was to keep leaving the rear door of his jewellers shop open when he went to lunch and coming back 10 minutes late found that he had been robbed, how many times would that need to happen before he realised that he needed to close the door or come back sooner? Our players appear ‘out to lunch’ before half time but always after!! Are they thick? I’m beginning to think that they don’t understand the concept of not conceding in first and last periods if each half 🤷♂️🙄🤔 [Post edited 24 Feb 23:26]

Varane needed to come on for Madsen,. Second half we needed to be a bit defensive for the first 15 minutes but we kept galavanting upfield ( admittedly to no effect), leaving ourselves wide open at the back. Why go chasing the game so early. Sub wise we still needed to stodge up the midfield if only to stem the bleeding

If JS is talking to them at halftime like he is in post match interviews I am not surprised we concede so regularly. Walsh was at fault for 3 of their goals so needs dropping , Mbengue had one of his more eccentric games for us . This football club is mental

Some poster typed an excellent breakdown of the games we gave up goals after 40 minutes a few weeks ago and it was pretty damming of our inability to get to half time comfortably . We are just not focused enough at the start ,half time and re-start IMO and this is going on over the last few Managers in charge

They prob do but I our actual coach isn’t there when they do , they prob drop him and email after telling them what they thought he should do though , he would I bet get in on the Monday after a sat game though ,don’t want to give the opposition any sort of advantage .

We don't react well to injuries to key players. Maybe it's inexperience, but there's a collective but unspoken "uh-oh!" about the team after a Chair or Madsen are hobbled. Also our defence is shit. The stats prove it. Individually there's lots to like, but playing defence is a collective necessity and we don't do it well at all. Yes, it's ideal if you have an unchanged back line, and an experienced keeperlike Arsenal of the 90s, but that's not realistic in today's game. Someone within the coaching staff needs to get a grip and inculcate a collective feeling of responsibility in our defensive corps.
| Why do we keep conceding within 10 minutes of half time? on 02:58 - Feb 25 with 337 views | Match82 | According to footystats, 21% of our goals conceded between the 41st and 50th minute and a whopping 53% of them conceded between the 31st and 60th minute. So it's not just our perspective the stats back it up. . We're tighter at the end of the game though, only 10% of our goals conceded in the last 10 minutes (but 26%!!! of our goals scored in the last ten minutes) | | | |
