I cant see why there is so much hatred for Bazunu, everytime his name is mentioned someone will slag him off.

He’s a terrible keeper . Think how you pan Tall Paul then apply that to Baz and you will be on the same sheet as everyone else .

Bazunu made positive contributions in a 20 odd game unbeaten run, a run in which we had the best goals against stats compared to any other Championship in that period.
How did we do that if he was such a bad keeper, especially when according to most on here at the time we had the worst left back in the division in Manning.
People forget that initially we were awful after his injury, after McCarthy came in against Preston for a 3-0 win, we lost the next 3 matches conceding 8 goals in the process, Bazunu getting injured didnt change anything, in fact it made things worse.
What did change after McCarthy's first 4 games back was that Russell martin had to change tactics and water down the possession football game because McCarthy couldnt control and pass the ball .
If Martin had changed it with Bazunu in goal we would have got the same results.
Most people who I speak to away from here are glad that Peretz came in but dont feel the need to slag off Bazunu, they give him credit where credit is due, including this season. | |

I dont hate him, what a ridiculous thing to say. He was a very poor keeper. The way you keep banging on about that unbeaten run, it was as if Baz single handily caused the unbeaten run.

Most people on here Nick don’t hate Bazunu, just the odd one or two who get over excited.
Having said that by no metric is he a top flight keeper nor in my opinion will he ever be.
I’m sure he will find his level in professional football which is probably Leagues one or two in England or with a team in Scotland.
Personally I wish him well but won’t be happy if he is selected for play for us again assuming he returns to St Mary’s after his latest lone spell. | |
