I think his rationale for wanting a move are fair and logical to him personally. Any of us in any career will seek to advance themselves elsewhere if they do not feel it is going the way they would like it to where they are and as he says, actual football playing career is quite short.

Very few players ask for transfers these days, the reason being that if they don't ask for a transfer then they are entitled to various bonus's and a percentage of the transfer fee.
Saints clearly felt peeved about the derogatory bids they were getting for him and perhaps the players attitude, so they weren't going to sell him and then pay him a proportion of the transfer fee and more.
Likely that Saints have said if you wantto go cheaply then you will have to put in a transfer request and forego all of this |  |

At the time of signing Edozie we massively over paid on him (rumoured to be between 8-10mill). He was in the last year of his contract at city and had not even played a league game anywhere. City had pinched him 2 years earlier from Millwall's academy for 1 mill . He hasnt improved in his time here, so if we were offered 4mill they should be biting hands off. | |

Totally agree. He signed exactly 4 years ago today (although it seems a lot longer) and he's never broken through.

I think we took 5 players from city's youth team that year and the following given Wilcox's knowledge of their academy - Bazunu, edozie, Lavia, Charles and THB (loan with obligation to buy).
