Whats happened to the Daniel Peretz of last season.
He's looked decidedly dodgy in all games this season.
He looks nervous & edgy this season & his kicking has been dreadful.
We have resorted to playing out from the back again ( Russell Martin) style.
Not sure this is by design or are the opposing teams forcing us to play that way.
But we need to get back to basics & get the ball forward much quicker.
We are getting good results particularly at home but it's not quite right yet.
Not enough fluidity / consistency or control of the game.
Perhaps I'm expecting too much.
But credit where it's due, if it hadn't been for the 4 point deduction we'd be joint top on points, so keep it up.
I must say that Flynn Downes looks a differently player when he's captain,
he's been exceptional.

Seems like you’ve answered your own question.
We are joint top scorers, have the best goal difference and only played 6 games.
Just because we play it out from the back doesn’t make it Martin ball, wasn’t Larins goal played out from the back ?

Your comments certainly in no way reflects the Peretz or overall performance that I saw playing out last night.
DP nearly saved Vipotnik's pen. He was solid. His positional sense was excellent. And I am really not sure what the perceived issues are with his distribution.
The side want to play it out from the back more to create opportunities.
Azaz explained it on Radio Solent last night and asked the fans to trust them on it. So we should do that.
And when it needs to be thumped down the pitch, it happens. Peretz leads from the back.
Yes, our second 11 needs some work, which is the reality of why we didn't win the last 2 away games. I am sure that our manager isn't ignorant of that though. And if Eckert hadn't subbed the players against Lincoln and Birmingham in the way that he did, would we still have won as easily at home? | | | |
