Does anyone else get a little annoyed with the lack of variability, stock and sizes? There are so many items that are just perennially out of stock or only available in sizes designed for hobbits.
The Home Classic FM retro shirt - Out of stock in every size. Feels like it has been for months.
Influence away - Only available up to a 44 inch chest which I haven't had since I was about 14.
Been looking for a fairly plain t shirt for summer hols. We only sell 6 mens t shirts. One is for Pride. Four have large designs emblazened all across them, only one has a simple stitched crest in navy; that's available up to a 42 inch chest.
I've had this frustration for some time - Going back to last season. Does anyone know if / when they refresh design lines or stock? I was hopeful after the stock take a few weeks ago we might launch some new stuff or at least back fill the stock of the current stuff... But nothing.
I'd imagine this time of year might be quite popular for people wanting to buy stuff for summer holidays... There ain't much to choose from at all. There's no seasonality to the items at all, there are more jackets and hoodies on there at the moment than there are t shirts and it's barely dipped below 30 degrees for a month.
I feel like we could be missing a bit of a revenue trick here. Aren't there some tried and tested methods of flogging merch lines that we could go down? Right now the socials and our inboxes should be flooded with ads pushing a 'rep your club on your travels' type message. We never seem to do anything like that.
The range of choice really is quite poor. It should never really be that a fan actively wants to spend money on merch but can't due to range and availability for months on end, should it? [Post edited 20 Jul 10:40]

It's a really good point. People are more merch hungry than they've ever been. Couple of years ago I did a road trip of Califronia/PNW/BC and every bar, coffee shop, weed shop even had merch and it was well designed and I wanted all of it.
The band Los Campesinos put tons of effort into their merch - they did a blog post about their US tour breaking down the costs. It costs them £100k to tour the US, and they got show fees of £98k meaning a £2k loss. But they put tons of effort into their merch - they have unique designs each tour, many variants so people really want it. They sold £80k's worth of tshirts with profit of £40k.
Most of the merch we have, I detest. I'd love a t shirt with a cool design but it's always just QPR in big letters. I bought the retro dennis the menance kit. ludicrously small and feels like I'll go up like a bonfire if someone uses a lighter near me. The smallest amount of effort would yield huge results but all we have have is Chinese dropshipped shite |  | | |

I know he's popular and this will not sit easy with everyone, but it is time to review whether or not Francis Atkinson is still the right person to be running that side of things.

you have to remember his budget compared to most clubs is tiny so he can make do with what he has , think the merch is pretty good , shame u cant get larger sizes is my main issue but overall its ok wiould imagine when the season strarts the club shop will lauch more lines etc as always , cant imagine the footfall during the summer is huge same for online apart fro the first team shirts .so why stock it and have to pay for gear which wont be sold till the season starts ? |  |

The club shop managers remit is profit. That’s the only conversation when meting the head honchos up stairs. Is there an adversity to risk, I don’t know.
The guy before Francis famously quoted to my face. Supporters would buy anything with QPR on it.
That is so far away from since.
The remit I here especially when a new kit drops is ‘I can’t make everyone happy’

I sympathize with the original post, he'd like to see a range of Padula Shampoo's, unfortunately half the fan base no longer has a head of hair, so unlikely. With a view of appealing to the modern day shopper, maybe a line of dietary supplements, or rose tinted spectacles would bring a steady if not instant return,
Me, out of a feeling of obligation, I buy stuff in the shop every time I'm over. Support the club and help keep people employed is my thinking because I don't really need another mug, I'm already fully qualified. [Post edited 21 Jul 14:18]
