Never really got that pub - bit of a weird spot between Ravenscourt Park, Stamford Brook, and Turnham Green. Was in there a few years back and got a pint after they rung the first bell - happily served me the beer then someone immediately came over and told me I had to finish it and leave immediately as they were closing. A long stand-off ensued, as I insisted they had to give me time to drink up. A long winded way of saying, sod that pub. Much rather The Raven if I'm that way. |  | | |

Yeah that spot is a real pub Bermuda Triangle - strange as it seems like a decent location and yet it's had so many incarnations for as long as I can remember.

Indeed, the Crown is great and also The Askew at the top of Askew Road.
Definitely a bit of a Bermuda Triangle situation - you used to have The Oak on the Seven Stars Round about at the bottom of Askew which did fantastic pizzas and had a good wine list as well, but that closed relatively recently which is a big shame. Before The Oak, nothing ever worked there for any amount of time. It's now The Black Rabbit - christ knows what it's like, but I doubt it will be around for long. | | | |

Quiz night and live music will remain.

In 1984, when I first alighted in this country, I came with two other gents, one a Wembley man, the other who appeared to never leave the Seven Stars and Half Moon. For all the times I'd drank in the Bush, I was completely unaware of its existence until I got to know him. Went down there a couple of times, it was ok. | |
