Didn’t get to see the game, but just watched the highlights. Both of our goals conceded preventable and our first also savable, but our first ‘worldie’ of the season from Smythy - super strike.
2 Things jumped out at me. 1 We are too nice. The Preston players got Cirkin sent off as much as the tackle did. It was ‘orange’ if the players hadn’t surrounded the ref, and could have gone either way. We never do that, just accept everything so meekly.
2 My heart goes out to Lloyd, should have scored the header obvs, but the save from the keeper was outstanding for his other effort and a lovely bit of skill gave him the chance to shoot Just needs one to go in off his arse and he will score plenty, with his positional sense, speed and work-rate.
