End of last Season did us a favour 11:57 - Jul 8 with 1221 viewsnumptydumpty

Our better players be with us all this season, I believe.

If we had maintained consistency and got in play offs but not been promoted think the likes of WIllock, Dieng and others could have received more tempting offers, salary wise and club status wise.

We got another season to see how this particular squad of talented and up and coming players can perform which if not for cock ups last couple months of season,, a few would not be darning our doors anymore ??

summer aint over yet!

Willock's injury probably did us a favour in that respect more than the collapse

Why stop now, just when I'm hating it

I think even failing in the play-offs would have helped us attract more players and we would have had bit more money.

Willocks injury has indeed put some clubs off no doubt. I bet he has to be eased back in and will mysteriously just be fit for the last game before the window closes. Creating a situation of "if you have £20m?" or we keep him.

zzzzzzzzzz

Not sure it has done us any favours. We need to sell our assets at top whack and reinvest in twice as many players with twice the potential using a percentage of the proceeds

Exactly this. It is remarkable despite how many times that Clive bangs on about 'accounts' ( as recently as this week) how people miss the point. The end of the season form and Willock's injury did us a massive disservice in terms of development and resale of players which we HAVE to do to (a) survive and (b) buy better players in the future. Time to see the bigger picture guys. Enjoy the quality players while we have them, then let them go with our best
