I read the other day that there is a ban on London Premiership teams (and I think Championship) playing home games during the Olympics so that may account for the derth of any "proper" home friendlies. |  | | |

Quite ridiculous really, its not as if we would be playing each other so hardly a great strain on police/transport if we played a championship club at home I wouldn't have thought. | | | |

Quite. But then there shouldn't be a problem with a Hackney newsagent hanging an Olympic flag in the window that wasn't bought from the organisers at great expense along with a license but there is. What the Olympics says goes for the next two months, however fcking needless and ridiculous the demands. | | | |

More the total lack of a police officer or security type person for any other part of London I would imagine. | |
