Gosh what a heartbreaker of a thread i've started. Thank you all for your good wishes.
My wife took the knackered old beds, car steps, various blankets to the dump . The guy at the entrance wouldn't let her in without a booking. She explained our dog had just been put down and she couldn't bare seeing the bed etc lying empty and he said 'oh my god love, come straight through and go to the front of the queue'. |

Had our 15 year old labradoodle put to sleep today. Flipping heck, that's been as bad a day as i've had for a while. Takes a bit to make this old boy shed a tear, but they've been flowing. c.16,500 walks we've taken her on we crudely calculated. The home suddenly feels like a house. |

There was no 'just beaten' there. They were tactically so much better set up to win a game of football on merit than we were. We defaulted to 'survive and nick one' just as it's been the whole tournament. |

I'm a bit sad to see him go tbh. He had a rare 'x' factor, albeit inconsistent in recent seasons, but his plusses just outweighed his minuses. |

Hope Clive doesn't mind me posting this.
I’ve got two restricted view tickets for Lords tomorrow for Test match v W.Indies in Mound Stand. One adult, one u16 (they never check).
£50 for the pair - they were c.£90 from memory.
I’m already going but somehow committed two lots of 2 tickets back in December ballot without realising. (btw Restricted view really isn’t very restricted - usually means a corner of the outfield is obstructed).

No, that's achievement of sorts.
Scoring 5 goals in 5 games and only winning one in 90 minutes against tier 2 and 3 teams is not.
Don't get me wrong, i am as happy as anyone that we're in SFs but don't have much/any pride in how we are achieving it, which to me matters. |

We've played five tier 2 or tiers countries and only won one in 90 minutes, and that one could easily have been a draw. It's truly great we're in the Semis but christ for the creators of the beautiful game, we're pretty embarrassing on the global football stage so far, as my work colleagues from various countries are quick to point out. |
