..With all the teams sashaying energetically on to the pitch to the sound of the Vengaboys' highly tuneful and indisputably culturally significant tribute to the local area? Sounds like a surefire winner to me.. |

I think getting the equaliser at Leicester and then going on to win that game after that awful run before it was the actual spark, and what you saw against Portmsouth was the sign that something has finally sunk in with these players in terms of what they can produce with the right mindset. It may not have been perfect, but it was at least very front-footed which is what we've all been crying out for (including Stephan himself). |

Everyone's forgotten the late great genius himself, Mr. Terry Venables! |

It's really telling how keen Stephan has been to stress over the last few games that the main priority is to stay in the league rather than sound off about challenging for the play-offs. You really do get a sense that a showdown behind the scenes is brewing, and we all know how that usually ends. Best hope is that Nourry puts his hands up and says his obsession with buying players barely out of nappies has got out of hand and needs rebalancing with some seasoned old pros in the summer. As others have already said so eloquently in the course of this thread, he also needs to be telling us how he's going to hold the fitness department to account and he needs to be throwing his lot in with Stephan to make sure he doesn't walk in the summer. What do we reckon the chances are of all of this happening, versus Nourry doubling down and protecting his own position and ego at all costs? Answers on a postcard, please.. |

...And whoever it is, let's be honest, we all know we'll be having exactly the same conversation this time next year.. |

If you are genuinely worried about this, then I respectfully suggest you need to find better things to worry about! In fact, I would go so far as to say the your "dream harder" philosophy is not only counter-productive, but potentially quite damaging to both Stephan's calm and considered approach and the need to keep a young squad's feet firmly on the ground. As the self-confessed "perfectionist" that you love to style yourself as, I would have thought that you would have been all for an approach that stresses the importance of individual players working to personalised, tailored plans that give them the tools they need to make repeated incremental, marginalised gains on a continual basis whilst stressing that they've still got work to do in order to reach the next level, or is that philosophy too sensible, rational and boring for you? |

..And I daresay that a few of us on here will continue to tell you in no uncertain terms exactly how we feel about how you see it, in spite off your frequent protestations about how we all allegedly shamelessly victimise you.. Have a great week yourself! |

Well said Baz. And what a pleasant change it is to have a nice, calm well-balanced discussion on this thread today instead of the riduclous histrionics we often get subjected to from certain posters.. |

Not everything is about you, although if you wish to make it so, I'm sure there's a few of us who will be only too happy to oblige.. |

Having been only too happy to take you to task when I feel you've deserved it, I think its only fair for me to acknowledge what a pleasant change it makes to see you posting a number of genuinely positive posts of late. I'm also only too happy to endorse the humility you showed in admitting you had been wrong about Kone previously. I do however think you'll also have to humbly accept that people's perceptions of you are going to take a while to change, given the tone of the majority of your previous posts, and that will inevitably lead to a certain degree of legacy p*sstaking. |

You're always banging on about how much of a "fanatic" you are, and how that fanaticism is irrational (therefore exempting you from displays of "reason", "balance" and "logic"). Surely, then, the question of whether or not the team "deserve" your support is completely irrelevant, isn't it? |

Hmmm - let's just say I shall agree to disagree with much of what you have written. One thing I will however agree with you on - you are the only poster I tend to not respond to in a balanced way, often deliberately to make the point about how I feel about what you have often written (or more specifically how you have chosen to write it). I am very tempted to bite on your point about picking up the hypocrisy of others, but given the fact that you have been unusually conciliatory in your final summary, I shan't on this occasion. |

Because, as I have said directly to you on multiple occasions and will keep repeating until the message finally sinks in, you are the ONLY poster on here who consistently refuses to give balance and nuance to what you write, and vehemently throws their weight behind a jaundiced viewpoint that you push aggressively to the point of openly demeaning anyone who dares to contradict what you have to say. Clive is a brilliant example of exactly what you DON'T do. Yes, he may have bitched and moaned, but he was very clear in saying that he gets that this isn't 1976 anymore, and there may be some unpalatable truths about who we are as a club and how that impacts everyday decisions that we just have to suck up and get on with. Clive engages with everyone on an equal footing, and takes time to give context to what he writes. You on the other hand seem to believe that you saying what you say in the often obnoxious tone you choose to employ should be good enough for everyone to take as gospel and get mortally offended when some of us on here tell you exactly what we think of your mistaken assumptions. |
