Learning to love January — Column
at 09:43:16

Bang on Clive - Maybe some of the 'alleged' supporters might need to read your prose several times before the realisation of what we (QPR) actually are.

We are not a big club, we never have been, and more to the point who wants to be?
If you crave supporting underperforming superstars, follow Man U / Chelski etc..

I loved the line 'We could pop the Hovis advert...' Quality, and so pertinent.

Hopefully the church will turn full circle, and actually start to support Queens Park Rangers again, remember them? Everyone's favourite little club, who play an attractive, entertaining brand of football, whilst wearing the best kit bar none.

QPR’s Chariot of Fire derailed again - report
at 13:47:36

Good report.

The level of committment, professionalism and confidence expressed on the pitch are due in part, to the lack of tactical nous, team selection, transfer policy and body language shown by Harry Redknapp and his management team.

I hate to say it Tony - But, need a new direction regardless of the outcome of this season!

Charlton’s late smash and grab heaps pressure on QPR — report
at 11:59:44

Plenty of valid comments following another concise match report - Well done Clive.
Loved the last line 'The Church is restless'.

Supporting QPR will never be boring, but instead remain the roller coaster of peaks and troughs we have experienced since the mid sixties, in some ways we should be grateful that the owners have not given up despite the 'apparent' lack of success [sic].

Wrt LTC - Is there ever be a case for booing your own players that give 100%?
But, by the same token and by default, the average football fan seems happy to vent frustration on those that strut around the field without a care in the world.

If there was ever a time when QPR needs its fan's supprt - it's now.
Lets make the most of the early KO, raise the roof and get this season back on the track our owners have set out!

I am sure none of us would swap places with 'the once mighty' LUFC!

McCleary’s rocket helps Reading slay ragged Rangers — report
at 11:27:48

To put the Hoilett comment in context:

Stats this season:
Games 22
Goals 2
Assists 2
Shots 34

QPR have nutured Hoilett through what can only be described as a torrid time, the fans have supported him, cajoled him despite his complete loss of form.

For me, he has been a huge dissapoinment given that we paid £4M for him.
We need Hoilett at his best, 2 goals and 2 assists in 22 games is simply not good enough. Hence, my original comment, step up, or leave....

No point in discussing SWP/BAE/Zamora apart from saying May cannot arrive quickly enough for them , or us!

McCleary’s rocket helps Reading slay ragged Rangers — report

As usual, got to agree with everything Clive Whittingham say’s – It’s all common sense.

I have said it before, but will say it again – We should be building a young team for the future, yet insist on playing with an old team who should know better.

As for Hoilett - sorry chap but you should do the honourable thing and leave us (please).

Come on Harry, work it out for yourself!!

Back to back defeats for listless Rangers — report
at 15:27:43

Good report again Clive (clearly you're wasted in anything but journalism).

For me, the time has come to complete the clear started in August...

We need to build a younger midfield / forward line for the longer term, and not rely on players well past their best i.e. Zamora/Johnson/Jenas/Henry/SWP who for me are simply taking the money and do not fit into our short or long term plans.

As much as we all want to be back in the Premier League, are we not fooling ourselves that this squad will be able to achieve mid-table PL stability should we go up?

Charlie Austin & Matty Phillips are both improving by the week by working in front of a solid defence and with with quality players like Barton & Kranjcar around them, the next step must surely be to add another young, promising forward and midfielder...

i.e. someone like Tom Ince..

The debate about signing Carrol is open for discussion, but, for sure he adds industry and is learning fast, but if it's for Spurs benefit then it kind of defeats the object...
