I think you've hit the nail on the head.
I thought we looked ok for 40 minutes and created enough chances to be two up before that dreadful slip by Bidwell crushed any confidence the tea might have felt, for sure City were poor but we only need to finish above three teams to survive until the transfer embargo is lifted..
A genuine 30 goals per season striker through the loan system would make a huge difference to the whole squad, as one of the posts said, we have three plan B strikers although I'd argue that Washington is perhaps at best plan D once you've exhausted every other option - He's way out of his depth. |

I understand your reservations Northernr, but lets look at this another way.
I was delighted when Sir Les publically stated they were rebuilding the football club from ground up, appointing a young manager with an influx of players from the lower leagues, target for this season staying up.. (The common sense approach, I just wish Gareth Ainsworth had been given the opportunity and left to do it for a few years).
But, it is now abundantly clear that the goal posts have been moved, perhaps because we failed to get rid of a raft of expensive, under achievers. Given the new target of promotion, the only solution is to appoint an experienced premiership manager - Hence my suggestion of Brendan.
He is after all a good coach, who has plenty of experience managing prima-donna's, and he has a proven mid-table Premiership record. [Post edited 5 Nov 2015 16:08]

Feel sorry for Chris Ramsey, we have lost a good coach there.
Sometimes people just have to be realistic with their abilities.
Moving on - The obvious choice is Brendan Rodgers..
Assuming he wants to rebuild his career. |

Based on last year's showing, I am not really sure what we expected being back in the Prem.. Its going to be a big ask for this squad to be above the relegation dogfight.
But, sticking to thread....
Whose fault is it that Matt Phiilips missed an open goal against the Mancs, and should have scored an equally easy goal against Spurs - Both game changing situations.
For me the problem is that he is low on confidence and should have gone out on loan to rebuild his career... Unless he finds his feet & form very quickly he stands a real chance of ruining his career, just like Junior Hoilett has! |

The problem is that the owners desparately want Premiership football.
Based upon events of the past two seasons, they think they can spend their way to this end.
Personally, (as CiderwithRsie stated) - I want to see blue and white hooped shirts playing attractive, entertaining, flowing football, with maximum committment...
Having followed the Rrrs since 1975 (when I was 9 years old) I fear that the managerial style of football I crave E:G: Sexton / Venable / Francis is by and large hard to find.
If you want my modern day blueprint, look no further than Liverpool!
As much as I geuninely hate to say it, after a decade of being an average, easy to dislike premiership side, they are finally playing the beautiful game...
We need avoid the play-offs / Send Harry upstairs / Install a young manager / and to decimate and then rebuild the squad with hungry, young aspiring players. |

Just watching the Arse v BM game, always dangerous!!
But - you cannot help but notice the work rate, tracking back and general desire of all the players. In particular, Arjen Robben...
Oh how I would love to see QPR apply themselves in the same way!
Is it the difference in class? Or just apathy!??
