Show up and play like you have a pair of fùcking bòllocks and I'll forgive any Rangers team their technical faults. The manner of conceding that first goal was pub football but they didn't let their heads drop like Peterborough at home or Forest away. Much, much better. |

As this is a spurs ground thread the last time I was there was a corporate hospitality gig for a home game with Birmingham. All picked up for by a supplier. 3 courses, free booze, very nice.
Martin Chivers was doing the compere bit, much like Andy Sinton used to I guess, walking around all the tables, asking fans what they thought the score would be. He asked me and I said I didn't really care as I was a QPR fan and just there for a jolly. He bent down very close to my ear and spoke one word, in a loving - almost tender - whisper: "cùnt" - fair play. |

The Jolly Garderners on Lacy Rd is about 5mins walk around the back of the Bricklayers and worth a look if in the area. Can be a bit red-trousery when the rugger is on but that goes with the territory. |

Epitomised by Manning for me. Superb bombing forward, poor covering back. With him and Kane doing the same thing on either side it was like playing 3-3-1-2 when we didn't have the ball.
Not really seen him play for Swansea so might have improved but I'd like to have seen that improvement with us. |

Delighted with our performance and that's three big points but West Brom were way below what I was expecting, injuries notwithstanding.
I'm hoping if we're in the top 6 at the end of the season they are too as there's something of the emperor's new clothes about them that makes me feel the away fixture was 3 points dropped. |

My kids can sing along with songs with swearing in like Magic Hat and Captain Jack but squeaking out random obscenities is embarrassing and a bit tourettey. I've never had to tell them this thankfully.
On the OP, I'm not speaking from lived experience but don't think homophobic abuse is the problem it was in the 80s and early 90s. Le Saux used to get it pretty constantly but that may have been down to being well-groomed and admitting to reading the Guardian in a time when footballers didn't openly do either. |
