He took every f’ing corner and every free kick. Not once did he deliver the ball with pace into a danger area. Every free kick was floated in - not a single attempt to vary the delivery or try something different.
Why can’t Marti see that it is not working? It is the same every game. |

I thought that they were really poor.
The ref totally bottled the red card decision. You could see that he delayed and delayed having to go to his pocket for a card. From then on his confidence was shot and he made a number of poor decisions during the remainder of the first half and never had much authority over the players During the rest of the game.
And was the reason why he let the players all go off for drinks in the 2nd half? It was hardly a hot day. Despite 2 or 3 minutes for this, a number of injuries and substitutions and time wasting - 5 minutes added time was pretty meagre.
The Linesman on the Ellesrslie Road side in the first half and SAR side in the 2nd was hopeless. The Huddersfield goal was finitely offside. I was in line with the pass and neither Hall or Barbet played the player onside. At one point later on, he refused to even put his flag up for a contested throw in which just added confusion.
Very poor but probably what we will have to get used to during re months ahead. Still, a really good performance from the team. Everyone played a part and never let their heads go down.

That's the 19th time this season that Shteve has brought on Matt Smith as a sub. No goals and I can't remember any assists.
He does give us some extra defensive cover at corners but other than that - as a Plan B it is just not working. Against a tiring defence, I would much rather see an injection of pace and strength from Oteh. |

For those coming by train, there are track problems near Ilford which mean expect at least 30 minutes delay. Also, the 17:30 train has been cancelled. |

Great team performance but for me Luongo & Henry were awesome.
Leading up to the penalty, Leeds had a dangerous potential breakaway but Luongo won the ball back well and set up Caulker. Both of them bossed midfield, won a huge amount of possession and distributed the ball well.
I have never seen a Rangers' team so fit at the start of a season. All credit to Jimmy H. |

Unbelievable. How can Beard and his Merry Men be prepared to give total freedom to Nike to choose the kit without ANY rights of veto. Don't they understand the brand they are trying to sell. The clue is in the word 'superHOOPS'. They still don't get it , do they.
What a comedown after Saturday. Pathetic. |

When the team was announced with no wimgers and no pace it looked bad. First half of little inspiration, too many hopeful high balls to Austin, O'Neil was woeful and Carrol invisible. Once Barton went off to be replaced by Henry the remainder of the first half was painful with neither he or Carrol even looking as if they wanted the ball.
Whether Harry said something to Carrol at half time, in the 2nd half he started to take more responsibility and once Niko scored, you could see the confidence increase throughout the whole team - Henry and O'Neil included. From then on, party time and the team actually looked like promotion candidates. Good choice by Harry to bring on Traore to inject some pace just at the right time.
Niiko played really well but for me the outstanding player was Ekotto. He was first to every ball, made some crucial tackles and was great going forward.
Great to score 3 at Portman Road for the 2nd time in a row. Great support and I will really enjoy the Monday commute to liverpool Street with my Ipswich mates  |

He looked a totally different player to Wednesday. Low on confidence, poor touch, simple mistakes. With him adding nothing and Adel playing having one of his infuriating days, Derry and Barton had to do everything.
Even so, a game we could and should have one. |
