They didn't do very well on that one did they
Yes the Club's representative was confused obviously.
A million plus two Wham cast offs. That was well in the past.
Very poor but so was Charlie to Southampton or Smithies to Cardiff and a couple of other mismanaged deals. Who is our negotiator now? Who is our confused representative in deals currently?
Would it be Saint Lee I wonder?

In negotiations you always get done over if (a) your requirements are not set out properly. (b) If your negotiator is not up to speed. (c) If you don’t understand the values. (d) If you are desperate to sell. There are other reasons also.

However I would focus on item b. as to why we get short-changed

Now then where did I leave my tin hat?

The players and associated wage costs are much too high currently and must be reduced next season, So the club is going to be recruiting cheaply and things will be much different next season. Younger players managed by a younger coach
Don't worry we are in safe hands.

Lee Hoos on Clive's Norwich report (via yours truly)
at 22:25 11 Apr 2019

Over 60s DON'T get a discount in ALL parts of the ground. Them are the rules according to fan friendly (not) Lee Hoos.
LythamR was close but no cigar for him this time.
Seeing as you were on such a friendly footing with Lee, Northernr. I did in a earlier post invite you to review the Exchange correspondence next time you have cosy tea together. Which was only intended to support Stainrod's posting

"at the top end of supporting, with serious financial commitment"

It means paying more than a lot of others

I wouldn't call you thick Anti just a professional speedreader.

Dave, obviously he is not subject to the obscure rules of the commercial department !

I was obviously paying too much and important to their financial survival and partly responsible for supporting Lee Hoos'[s supportl plan.
There were no other issues

Anti, I think you may have missed my subtle bit---
" After more than 60 years supporting QPR (some eye watering wonderful times I'd readily admit). Over thirty five of those years, at the top end of supporting, with serious financial commitment - I had the temerity to seek his intercession in getting me a OAP discount at 73."

If only that were the truth.

A packed full stadium! Wishful thinking with current strategies being practiced by our esteemed and well advised club Directors.

I would think that Lee Hoos' Job description might be a tad more than ensuring that we just comply with FFP. After all CEO's were around before FFP was ever thought about.
I'm inclined to agree with Stainrods claim that when things are going wrong you hear noises about a new ground and for some time before it was all about the training ground, from our Lee.
If you know of some wonderful money saving ideas or in house improvement changes that he might have instigated do tell please.
Ah, but I have an axe to grind. After more than 60 years supporting QPR (some eye watering wonderful times I'd readily admit). Over thirty five of those years, at the top end of supporting, with serious financial commitment - I had the temerity to seek his intercession in getting me a OAP discount at 73. I wrote to Lee Five times requesting his help. Unlike Stainrod I got no reply at first from hard working Lee. Comments and gestures from his minions but I'd previously being getting those for a couple of years, without success before that. Eventually our hard working Lee did write, telling me curtly and abruptly he couldn't help as they don't offer a discount in my case. Unbeliveable, no further contact on that from our busy Lee. Obviously got busy organising another training ground press conference. If you get time Clive ask the not so hard working Lee to show you the correspondence. I don't go anymore not since his letter.

QPR launch partnership with Eton College
at 22:37 14 Sep 2018

Well for newbies !
John Gregory our ex Manager and player was allowed by the club to spend time at Eaton College in the late 70s and early 80s coaching students there. I'm really surprised that no one mentioned that.

Swedes
at 14:42 4 Jul 2018

No hatred at all with / for Swedes.
They are amongst our most loyal followers (QPR) and have been for many years. We as a dot org team played them at football for a number of years. Stockholm and then London the following year. A S B undertook the competition and it might still be in existence although reading the sticky post, they might be having difficulties and don't compete. BTW anybody that went to Stockholm and spent the evening in "Cliff Barnes" gaff in Stockholm Eating their food, drinking their beer and being entertained by their extravagant blonde ladies would only have love and respect for Swedes and the population of Stockholm

Point of order there Semega

Tony has paid in far more than entrance fee. For many years he organised, planned and ran "Clubcall" paid the proceeds to the club. I expect he did get into many games free but he paid with his time.He is not the most likely of chaps in my opinion. you cant deny him his contributions to the club over many years.

Exactly, Ollie was Ray's runner - just get the ball Holloway and give it to me quickly.
That was his match instruction.

Not the time I know, but this Ray obit pisses me off
at 16:29 5 Apr 2018

As I remember he was actually sacked before the match for something he said in his naïve
way about not being able to beat Grimbsy over the two legs.
His career was two halfs, one as a excellent player and in coaching / management failed in every job as I recall. I will still miss his skills and softly spoken verdicts on other footballers and indeed officers of the game.

Top 3 QPR games you have Attended
at 14:44 19 Mar 2018

A terrible day, that relegation game at Nottingham.
The Forrest fans marched down the pictch towards a massive Rangers turnout and we all thought 'Here it comes'. hundreds marched down the pitch and it really looked desperate until they collectivley got to the 18 yd box where they immediatly started applauding us away supporters. What a suprise. Old Bill then cleared them off and a few mins later the QPR team came out and down to the Wall. They were roundly applauded and headed back to the dressing room. Mrs Edwards noticed Allan Mc had dropped his packet of fags, jumped the wall and picked them up. My Job then was to find the QPR bus stopped at traffic lights knock on the window and give the fags back to Macca. Happy but sad Day.

Hughes: dislike him almost as much as the scum
at 14:27 19 Mar 2018

I'm not a fan of Hughes since he was instrumental in McDonald getting sent off in the FA Cup at old trafford (Provoked a Macca right hand).

But after a difficult season with us he did actually keep us up with some great wins at the end of the season and who can forget that last match against Man City which was spoilt by tw@t SWP not going for the corner flag.

Good luck Martin Allen
at 12:53 19 Mar 2018

Ah! Mad Dog walks out again and again.

After being out injured for a long period he decided he wanted to leave QPR.
His first game back was supposed to be away to newcastle and he traveled with the team and it was to be his first game back to show his skills to possible employers the week before the transfer period closed.

Martin had other plans and crept out of the hotel going back to london to be with his heavily pregnant wife and burdened QPR with his wages unttil the new season.
It may have been good to support Mrs Allen (and correct) but he had been banging on about leaving QPR whilst injured and chose not to display his limited skills. Not a good egg really !

Thanks Guys for the welcome, undeserved really as I've been reading this board for years. I'm hardly new but alas I like just bland Cathedral extra mature - just like me.
I've been suffering QPR for more years than I can remember. I didnt want Holloway Mk 2 although I canvassed vigorously for him first time around. Happy now to see him go in June.

On Europe I voted remain and I'm appalled at the apparent outcome, sorry guys.

I admire TF and Sir Les and I support them
