Never a Red, Cirkin clearly gets the ball and the player comes in late on him, don’t think Cirkin was out of control or showing studs. Unbelievable decision, Ref was definitely intimidated by the Preston players in his face! |

Thought he did okay when he came on today, got in some good positions and certainly gave them something to think about!
He’s still young and learning, let’s give him a little time before we write him off? He’s certainly not lacking in desire and work rate!

I do think it’s 2 points dropped, but that’s not a reason to not enjoy something we don’t see that often! Great team spirit and never gave up! |

Just back home, so much for a stress free afternoon 😂 Like most people have said, a really good battling display in the second half and a deserved point.
Mistakes happen, unfortunately it gifted them the first! Poor decision for the red card, two players going for the ball and Cirkin gets there first, catches the lad, but never a red! The ref and Lino on SA stand were both awful!
We have to improve our shooting, two decent strikes in the end, but most of the time it’s like we’re trying to walk it in!
3 weeks of now and then we have a tough run of games!

I’m hoping for a stress free win today? 2-0 Burrell and Poku, regardless of any new manager bounce, PNE are a poor team playing badly!

100% agree with this, Edward’s immense today and Definitely MoM.
Bloody awful Ref, some ridiculous decisions.
Scarlett certainly deserves a mention, played well and offered more than Smyth has in the last two games. Also Charles was good, he’s growing in confidence.
Poor goal to give away, Cirkin should have closed down quicker.
Given the injuries and a few players still not fully match fit, a point is a good result.
Big game next week against Preston, 3 points from that will be a fantastic start to the season. We then have a couple of weeks too get players back.

Think we’ve had a reasonable start to the season, we should have another 4 points really, Bolton and Charlton!
The way we are playing is also much improved from last season, and I think our forwards will start finding the net?
Unfortunately again we have a few players injured, hopefully nothing too bad.
A point tomorrow would be a good result!

Agreed, a decent performance against them!
Also got to give a shout out to Koki, thought he had a good game today too in the end 10 role, found some really good pockets of space today and moved us forward! Him and Burrell changed the game for us and pushed them 10 yards further back! |

Completely agree, definitely a game of two half’s! And deserved a point!
Spoke to a couple of Borough fans on the way out, they said they were lucky with a win in the end and couldn’t believe the improvement of us! They thought we looked a good side in the second half! |

It’s a long season and all of those players are coming back from injury! We have seen today with Chair and Kone, just how easily players coming back can pick up knocks!
I agree we looked better when they went off but rotation is needed at this stage, particularly with fragile players!
The injury to Kone maybe a blessing in disguise, gives him the opportunity to get fully fit and fresh! We’ll need him and his goals as the season continues! |

Just back from the match! Disappointed to lose but I thought we were good enough to get a draw based on the second half. Played some good stuff, just didn’t find the net.
Didn’t think the starting 11 worked and we looked better when Kone and Chair went off, tough loosing two with injuries that early. Although we improved after, it hindered us later with only 3 subs left!
They were better in the first half and we were in the second, our toughest game of the season, and we competed well!

Absolutely, I don’t think we have many decent referees at this level, and when you hear someone as experienced as him saying, he used to play games during the match. If you look at the context of what he’s said and think of the betting markets nowadays, it makes you question the whole integrity of officials!
He should face serious consequences for this, although I highly doubt that will happen? |

His game has developed over the past year, much more of a rounded forward now. Hold up play, aerial duels, lay offs and of course pace.
Should really have had a hatrick tonight. If he carries on like this, he’ll be a very saleable asset.

Don’t disagree with what you’ve said about the teams we’ve played, however, 10 points out of 12 is still a good return no matter where they are expected to finish.
It’s a long haul with a lot of teams capable of making the top 10, and we’re going to have to play all of them twice. Don’t think anyone is getting carried away, just basking in a rare moment of glory over the last few years!
Let’s see what Saturday brings.

Yeah, he’s was brilliant tonight, always seemed positionally aware breaking down there play and recycling, some lovely interchanges with Madesen.
Love him or loathe him, CN has done a great Job in getting the squad we have now and attracting players like Kamara, Lamptey, Ronnie etc.

I thought the team looked very good for parts of the game tonight. Don’t really think the changes to the starting 11 made much difference, Kamara and Lamptey were very good, if neither are yet fully fit, I think we’ll see some special performances from them, we have two class players. We really should have been out of site before another worldly against us, we don’t do soft goals 😂
I agree changing four players at once and 3 of the back 4, did change momentum, but we still created chances to score more.
Overall another deserved win!
