Sounds like the Smiths, as does ..... "Did a military two step down the nape of my neck". What a fantastic line that one is.

Agreed the Smiths were just as good as the Doors.. but somewhat different.

"Please, please please please let me get what I want this time". 53 points that is.

"When you're strange .... when you're ........... strange."

Just stay with the Doors.... Love the Doors. So, here's a count down of lines of lyrics from their albums to the end of the season.

"She has a house and garden, I would like to see what happens," (line for 7 games to go in the championship.)

"I've down so doggarn long, that looks like up to me" (line for 6 games to go in the championship.)

"Not to touch the earth, not to see the sun, nothing left to do but run, run, run, let's run" (line for 5 games to go in the championship.)

"Another flashing chance of bliss" (line for 4 games to go in the championship.)

"Oh, don't ask why, oh, don't ask why" (line for 3 games to go in the championship.)

"White City, tonight, White City tonight, yeh!" (line for 2 games to go in the championship.)

"Five to One" (song for 1 games to go in the championship.)

Fo the Leeds game - The last game of the season - "Come on Rangers, light my fire"

After the Leeds game ...... "This is the end ........" 53 points,

Does anyone know what the uses of a semi colon !!!
at 22:26 11 Mar 2024

A semi colon could not cope with that amount of germs, a complete colon could not cope either; the Taylor Richard’s analogy is very appropriate, one is amazed that you can stack shyte that high.

I'd want Swansea to beat Bristol, who've lost their last 5 games on the bounce and are about to drift into the mine field bottom 8 if they lose tomorrow.

It's called "Icing on the cake," Norf....

Hope it's a nice big fruit cake, chock full of plums and R's nuts.

I wouldn't bet against Stoke going down!!! Hate them 24/7 - 365. I'll get me Coates.

Any one else from Brum, Blackburn, Millwall would make it a nap hand.

So what do we want tonight?

If they all stay as they are, I’d be happy - although a late Plymouth equaliser would be nice

Showing my age here….. “Oh, yes for the youngster!” A John Motson special when Joe Walters bagged a brace and Leicester surprisingly knocked us out of the FA Cup in the seventies.

Please can someone have a LOUD word (or MORE) in Begovic's ear
at 07:51 4 Mar 2024

And he's QPR's top earner too - on £32,000 a week - according to internet sources.

If I was Chair, Dunne, Field or Willock, I'd be pretty pissed off with this. See earnings table below.

Stan’s Greatest Game
at 12:32 3 Mar 2024

So maybe we did play in red and white quarters that day. I also note "Henry" Mancini in the background of the photo too.

Therefore I have great delight in blaming the Cheslcum site for providing this inaccurate data

It says something about Stan's memorable performance that we are here discussing what Stan did over 50 years ago.

I've found the photo,,but I'm struggling to upload it, so I've had to use a Chelscum site to get it on here. Please accept my apologies for polluting this page with scum links - but the photo makes up for it.

http://thechels.info/wiki/Chelsea_3-3_Queens_Park_Rangers_(1973-74_First_Divisio

Note that the ref was Roger Kirkpatrick, the show off egoist ref - whose party trick was to sprint backwards after awarding a free kick faster than he could run forwards. He really wound the crowd up when he did this. "oooooh, look at me". thank god the FA don't encourage refs like him anymore,

Yes, the ref let Chelscum get away with 1970 FA Cup Final type fouls all over again.

Has anyone got a photo of the Ron Harris foul that they could post here?

Amazingly, I don’t think any one got booked.

Droy got away with murder. Stan embarrassed them all. Shame there’s no videos of him making those thugs look so stupid.

So, on 23 February 1974, did we all witness Stan’s greatest performance for the Hoops??

Surely there were some other games worth mentioning- great as Stan THE Man was at Chelscum Dog Track that day!!
