I still don't see the point of us signing young loan players from EPL clubs. Who cares how good a prospect they are when we need them to deliver now and they have no future value to us. Especially if those loans come with strings attached requiring a certain amount of game time.
I appreciate that the view might be that there is no point signing players just for this season, if they aren't going to work in the Prem. However, if that is at the cost of not being good enough to get us out of the Championship, then its all irrelevant. And I feel a bit that that sums up this transfer window.
We could have done with a David Connolly type signing to replace the goals we lost. Instead, we now basically have Azaz, Scienza and Larin as goalscorers. And great as they might be. When it doesn't click, like at Birmingham. There is no bench option who can change the game.
And I'd say Dobbin has a questionable attitude, based on his decision to go out with his mates rather than meet the fans after the Millwall game.
It already feels like the fans are dreaming on a JWP free kick to win games. And that will be such a step backwards in aspiration after some of the quick, exciting, fluid footy that we saw last year |

More evidence of how we are led by buffoons. And the reason for the repeated patterns of silence that we see from the club increasingly indicate to me an effort to hide that fact.
How Parsons is still in a job is hard to get my head around. We've had the worst punishment possible (including a point deduction too!!!) Have effectively stated no case of defence. And have just obligingly taken any punishment meted out. And are now waiting for even more punishment from the FA. Which I assume will just follow the same pattern.
Then we have our CEO b;lathering on about lessons will be learned and the fans and players need to forgive everyone and move on behind the current leadership. i.e. Parsons.
Please can we reset this entirely under a new CEO and stop being asked to just accept being shafted by everybody else? When is the good news coming??? |

We've been naive, it would appear, to keep our counsel. And Boro have been rewarded for their badmouthing, doing everything through the media and drumming up the story.
None of them has really considered the fans. Especially the panel.
We've put money into attending every match this season. Including the play offs. So seeing as we have now been excluded, the EFL should refund us for the money lost by fans in the playoffs and arguably for the whole season, which they are treating like a dead rubber for us |

I think this is pathetic both of the EFL, our club in defending us and the media for its one eyed fervour. Lets also not forget our own bedwetting fans agreeing with the harshest of punishments and calling for Tonda to be sacked when they were only chanting his name a week ago. I mean, he's not been abusing children, like many of those in the media and legal system. At worst he's just tried to get an advantage to help his team. Yet now even those on the Ugly inside are ready to call out what punishments should be meted out to Tonda and others and also looking to present arguments on how the punishment should stand, like they have inside knowledge..
Pathetic all round. Give your heads a wobble. Rather than asking to be beaten harder by these corrupt institutions and Saints haters. How about providing some resistance.
Football is a sh*tshow and, whilst I am not going to miss the corrupt EPL and its techno VAR game and league ruiner, I am not going to applaud the fact that we have been totally shafted by all involved.
Still, with all those penalties Ipswich were given towards the end of the season, I guess we should always have known that the powers that would be would get promoted who they wanted. Whatever that took. They're probably still angry at us for ruining the Wrexham parade that they had planned.

I don't know about everyone else's views, but I suspect that we let Boro score the first goal last night. Despite having zero evidence other than what I saw on the pitch, I wonder if we agreed to let Boro go one up as a compromise for any other sanction and find a solution acceptable to all parties
There was some really odd behaviour with Manning not being interested to go out to the wing to close down the crosses in that first 5 minutes. And all the Saints players were static when they scored.
We'll soon see if there was some sort of agreement, if Boro mysteriously drop the issue. If that arrangement did happen (and fair play to Saints for being so ballsy to reckon they could still win with the disadvantage, if so), that must really be hurting the Boro to have still lost under those circumstances |

That was a great team performance, again, last night. Norwich were a really tough side and Clement has got them purring. They are potentially going to take points off of many sides between now and the end of the season. Well done Saints.
Yes, the ref was awful and inconsistent. One of the lino's also couldn't wait to wave his flag for any decision in favour of Norwich. But No, WestSussexSaint. It doesn't come anywhere near the need to ruin this brilliant, entertaining league with technocratic VAR. No matter how much they want to drain the life out of this league (including with the new early Saturday kick off times and the ridiculous play off place expansion voted through last week) to make up for the dull, uninteresting catastrophe that the EPL has become. And no matter how frequently the BBC promotes VAR on behalf of big money and the establishment. |

Definitely some split opinions. I thought Azaz worked hard and tried to create.
Gutted that Fellowes didn't hit it first time when he received Scienza's cross.
And what on earth is Manning doing? He was late to arrive to block the shot for their goal. And whilst I wouldn't criticise his effort, I wish he would just play Left Back. It was him coming into the Charlton box to try and head it that took a chance away from Cyle late in the game. I know who I would rather see trying to head the ball in. And with the roving semi striker role he seems to take on, it means that one of DMs has to slot in to cover for Manning's absence at LB. It effects the balance of the side and means other players have to move around to accommodate him.
All in all, it was a great effort by the team. We could have won it. And maybe should have. You can't win them all though and neither should we expect to |

He might be miffed, and I can't really blame him for that. Though I am not sure how you can argue that he holds all the cards? Unless you are saying by not accepting a big pay cut and shipping off to play for Genk or somewhere is short sighted on his part?
SR Saints plc have treated a lot of players poorly, leaving those players to bear the brunt with the fans of being played under so many different managers, and in the wrong positions, with failed tactics and constantly changing lineups. The 23/24 season Edozie did enough to be given more time with the team to develop
The way we binned him off after 2 or 3 games in the EPL must have hurt, when he probably felt he had so much to prove and it must have damaged his confidence and trust.
I find it hard to believe that, if offered an olive branch, he wouldn't jump at the chance to get time on the pitch. It works better for all parties if he can be reintegrated into the squad. And he would fill the gap very well left on the right wing if Eckert's spreadsheet says he needs to rest Fellowes or Scienza.
So I would actually say, its Saints that hold all the cards on this one. Edozie is one man who is no star player at this point, so doesn't have much power. But for some reason, Saints plc would appear to be very poor at treating our players like people over disposable assets. Which means that we all lose out |
