He failed to hold one you'd expect him to catch 9/10 times. Smyth failed to score two that you'd expect to score at least one from. Most of our players have fairly big weaknesses to their games. It's why we are where we are. I'm fairly confident they'll grind out a point or two which should be enough and would still be an incredible achievement given where we were a few months back.
Dykes was nothing more than okay IMO. He has this weird thing where his first touch is often quite decent then his second, third etc are usually comical.
No fan of Begovic and obviously it's a huge mistake but he did make at least one great save to keep it at 0-0 earlier in the game. No point hanging him out to dry. He won't be here next year and we haven't got anyone better right now.
I think most people would give Armstrong the benefit of the doubt for now. Give him a pre season with Marti and see how he goes next season but if his scoring record doesn't improve significantly from its current 1 in 11 then we have to do better.
Hard to disagree. Willock still has his moments and he may go on to do well somewhere else but I'm not sure how much we'll miss him. We need Chair to have one of his match winning performances at Plymouth or Hull. He's been a bit below par so hopefully he's got a good game coming.
Dykes has 4 in 35 games. Armstrong 3 in 33. That is an embarrassment regardless of whether or not we create enough chances. Neither have a strikers instinct. Give me Scylla or Poulter over those two any day.
He was pretty poor yesterday. So slow off his line when he could have come and collected. Looking forward to seeing a younger, more mobile keeper next season. Should make a real difference. On the plus side, he did at least get an assist for the winner and his kicking in general wasn't too bad.
Not the greatest game but that goal will love with us all for many a year. My son's been to plenty of games but I think that was the first time he's experienced an iconic QPR moment. They don't come around too often but when they do, my god, they're special.
Odd one from the ref tonight. Thought he was pretty good up until our penalty. Let the game flow, didn't give everything as a free kick. After the penalty his decisions were all over the place. Not helped by linos who missed Paul Smyth having his shirt ripped off.
Anyway, pleased to come out of that with a point considering West Broms negative tactics. Someone earlier was saying what a great coach Corboran is. I'm not sure. They went very negative very early and got what they deserved. They should have tried to get a third but offered nothing going forward in the second half before we scored.
