I imagine there might have been a ginger ring or two in the Irish scrum tonight. |

I shudder to think what the doctor might order after competing in a scrum. |

No, three isn’t enough! Also, some of the films that fall into the ‘most-watched’ category - in my case anyway - are there because they’re so often repeated (and bear repeated viewing) on Freeview channels like TalkingPictures. I’m particularly fond of the ones set in urban locations (usually described as ‘gritty’) such as ‘Tiger Bay’ (Cardiff), ‘Jigsaw’ and ‘Brighton Rock’ (both, er, Brighton), ‘The Blue Lamp’ (London - Paddington & White City specifically), ‘Saturday Night & Sunday Morning’ (Nottingham). I could go on forever! Also mentions for ‘Whistle Down The Wind’ and ‘The Hill’ (which springs to mind these days every time I begin the ascent into the Upper Loft - or is it ‘The 39 Steps’)? I’ve refrained from mentioning ‘The Godfather’ before (a given, really) but I notice something new every time I see it. I’ve recently taken to switching on the subtitles while watching it and find I’m picking up a lot of stuff in the dialogue that has eluded me before. |

During a break in play midway through the first half a massive Samsung advert appeared in a split-screen. I don’t recall seeing this sort of thing before. Is it new? As if the elongated ads on the pitch aren’t annoying enough. Ah, well, something else to get annoyed about I suppose. |

A question for the ages, Spaceman. No answers from me, I’m afraid, but I’ll wager that Satan’s Arse has got something to do with it. |

Like his final analysis on Coventry: “It’s not the same team. But it is the same team”. |

I’m sure the lad is very sensible really and will be taking advantage of tax relief on private defined-contribution pension schemes to ensure a long and comfortable retirement. |

I’m afraid I never knew Alan either but learned a lot about him from the article in the 400th issue of AKUTRs, the third last copy of which Julie sold me outside the Loftus Road entrance after the match yesterday. Some wonderful anecdotes contained therein. Sounds like he was quite a character. RIP, fella, and best wishes to all his friends and family. |

I’m glad something’s self-seeded. The pitch doesn’t look like it’s about to anytime soon. |

Could be onto something there, Numpty. Translates into Latin as ‘Spes Nulla Est’. Might just have it embroidered on my retro shirt. |

Don’t mention the Four Year Plan. I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it. |
