Cricket Eng v S.Af
at 17:02 28 Jul 2017
Toby Roland Jones making test cricket look easy at the moment. Amusing 25 runs with the bat and now going through S.Af batting line up like a dose of salts. 4 wickets so far and counting 6 overs 2 maidens 4 wickets for 20 runs.
being doing it for Middlesex for past couple of years. Really pleased he has grabbed his opportunity.
Leigh Day lawyers accused of misconduct over Iraq claims
at 20:57 24 Apr 2017
Post from the BBC about what appears to be some very dodgy dealings by this law firm which falsely accused British soldiers being ambushed in Iraq of torturing and mutilating civilians. But neglected to mention that the claimants were in fact members of a murderous Iranian backed militia who carried out the ambush in the first place.
This really annoys me when you see how much time, money and anguish their apparent greed has cost.

What will uncle Tony tweet this evening?
at 18:49 31 Dec 2016
Just wondering if our well intentioned but remarkably reactionary chairman will tweet some ill conceived but well meaning Bon mots to encourage us all tonight whilst being a little tipsy.
Following the faintly bizarre praise of our former allegedly crooked bagpuss clone of a manager yesterday what can we expect this evening in light of Holloway finally winning again after a seemingly endless night of losing. Will it be hyperbole or a sudden urging for the playoffs or instead a misguided praise that ignores the many deficiencies in our performance?
For the sake of the children I hope that someone takes his phone off him this evening and let's enjoy the win and new year, rather than let some trolling toad like scrote Jones taking the shine off an otherwise good day.
N/T Changing fibre broadband
at 17:13 26 Aug 2016
Welcome advice on peoples experience with changing fibre broadband and telephone. We have been with BT superfast broadband for past 2 years. Had generally been ok, but price is now really high so looking to switch someone else for less. Virgin aren't an option as they don't have fibre laid where we are. Looking at PlusNet who seem to be well regarded and cheaper than their parent company (BT).
Welcome any thoughts or feedback from anyone on PlusNet or other options.

Did we really just sign this wastrel?
I mean, I know he is Danish and that I in some way should be in favour as a result (having championed Nygaard). This one is a really odd move. Aim off for the fact he is a total bellend and has failed everywhere he has gone, and I still cant quite see why we bought him or where he fits in.
Only rationale I can come up with is that we wanted a big lump of overrated under-performing striker and this was the best of dregs that was left over in the cheap as chips pile. Can only assume that his wages are very low and no sign on fee. Really hope he proves me wrong, but it's transfer that I cant quite see working.
Fer and Sandro
at 17:35 7 May 2016
Both played today. fear got the full game and seems to have started playing well for the Swans, hopefully so well that he gets to stay there.
Sandro also played for WBA for a full 5 mins as a sub at the end of the game. Surely the WBA management will listen to the people of Birmingham who so whole heartedly supported his signing for them on a permanent basis?
Golf club advice
at 21:18 3 May 2016
welcome some advice people. Thinking of picking up golf again after pretty much stopping for 10 years. Never been a great golfer, played to around 18 handicap when I was younger and sneaked a few competition wins around Ruislip golf club.
Basically I have no idea where to start in selecting new clubs as most of what I used don't seem to be around anymore. So welcome a steer on what might be a good set to get back into the game. Don't want to go crazy, but looking for something to help me get going that isn't a nameless brand from Sports Direct.

Retiring? Really? Seems all a bit odd.
Ignoring the emotion over some of the moves
at 13:28 16 Jan 2016
What is quite interesting is that the club are working through so many moves out of the club so quickly. Wonder how much of this is driven by JFH making decision over who he wants, who needs match fitness and game time and who should leave. Or how Much is being driven FFP as the league seems to have decided to go after clubs all of a sudden. Suspect that the Austin sale they felt was inevitable if Charlie wanted to go and will help FFP argument. The rest might also have been part of a similar decision in terms of shrinking squad down, which is what JFH and Les have said they would do.
More Air Asia bad news (in the short term at least)
at 08:21 27 Nov 2015
Think this probably explains the previous pressures on our owners on their loans against the shares of Air Asia. To be honest it might actually be a good time to buy Air Asia shares as the negatives are priced in. The business model, aside from the long haul trial, is generally a proven one that does generate cash over the long term.
It does appear to make the decision to write off the Debt an even more generous gesture by the club. But also does underline their change of priority to get promoted back to Premiership as clearly the Tune Group cant keep pishing away money through QPR like it has.
