Cheers mate.

That's my thinking to be honest, trying not to make any rash decisions but also like you say if this is how I feel in some nothing middle of the road job, imagine how the players feel, especially after all the 'loyalty, we're all in this together' public nonsense that Molely Mick was spouting a few weeks back.

Good question.

He has already said he would have no qualms getting me in at his new place, and I would be interested to be honest, but ultimately I suppose it would always be in the back of my mind how long he is committed to it for.

I would say he's making a sideways move. To be fair to him he has been very honest with me and explained his reasons for leaving, which also reflect the reason for other resignation, ultimately the senior management structure is a bit of a s*itshow. Both people leaving have been at the company for 10+ years so there is clearly something not right in the upper echelons.

To be honest, it does give me the opportunity to go for his role but it's a role I know I would not be ready for and based on the feedback from my boss I wouldn't want to work for his boss, so like I say it has left me in a weird situation where I don't really know what to do other than look elsewhere. Obviously I never would have been told this at the time but had I known I never would have left my old role, where although un-motivated and comfortable it was a stable role and well run company.

Like I say it's a mixture of emotions, but I do feel like I've been sold a lie.

Interesting post this.

If I can add my own experience. I left a very stable job in April this year (I work in manufacturing) to join a smaller company but with potentially greater opportunities for myself going forward. I quickly settled into the role and formed a great working relationship with my boss.

However last week my boss calls me to tell me that he has handed his notice in and will be leaving the company in the new year. It was out of the blue and to say I was shocked was understatement, following that another one of our department heads who I work closely with has handed his notice in also. In the space of a week I have gone from being happy in my job to now being uncertain of what is going to happen and whether I want to progress with the company or look elsewhere. Ultimately one of the main reasons I joined was because I liked what I was told by my line manager in interview but now I find out that he was ultimately going to up and just six months later is a bit annoying to say the least.

I know football is completely different to the normal working world but I can't help but think if this is how I'm currently feeling then god knows how the QPR squad now feel. Like the OP states I don't know how Beale sleeps at night.

As a Saints fan myself I'm really intrigued as to how we'll do this season. Dennis Allen really changed the defensive side of the game plus with Thomas coming back the offense looks like it could really tick, still unsure on Winston though. Still think we had our chance the year we were cheated out v the Rams but there's always one team that surprises each year.

For me though I don't think you can look past the Rams, Bills or Chiefs for the Superbowl. If the Titans had a decent QB then I would make them a shoe in.

Very excited for this season to start to be honest, off to the Saints game at Spurs ground and then out to the states for Rams V Cardinals in October.

I still love this team

Couldn't agree with this more, have said what the majority of us are feeling. It's why it hurts so much because they're such a loveable team.

Call me romantic but throughout the season I always had visions of Charlie being held aloft walking around the pitch at W12 having secured our place in the play off final, a night talked about in similar tones to the Oldham classic. It just wasn't meant to be.

Before my time too as I was born in 85 but reading that had me welling up. Will certainly be asking my Dad about his time with us, fantastic servant to the club. Will never be forgotten.

Hudds away

This is the way. Just booked mine - £62 return to Leeds and the Huddersfield return which I will just buy on the day is £8.

All this to watch us lose two nil as well!

This next hour is going to be frightening. I'll genuinely be amazed if they don't get all ten wickets. This is the cricket equivalent of watching those pathetic world cup qualifiers that England have to play in September and October.

The Ashes
at 12:19 16 Dec 2021

A day that summed up everything that is poor with our side. First of all selection, why there was no Mark Wood was beyond me. Went into the game pinning all our hopes on the ball swinging in the dark and by the time that came we were spent from a full day in the roasting sun. Very very one dimensional and then to top it all off when the chances do come we can't catch the thing. For all that I do think our bowlers were very disciplined today and deserved a little bit more luck, doesn't bode well though with the weather tomorrow.

Our batsmen will grossly let this bowling attack down again, they could bat on a road with the Aussies bowling a football and we'd still lose four wickets for less than thirty runs.

Add to that our absolutely woeful over rate and Joe Root is looking at returning to England having lost 5 zip and in his overdraft. Bleak.

Posh v QPR 6/2/2010 memories

I remember this game - definitely not fondly. We were so bad in the second half I sat down on the terrace and questioned what I was doing with my life. A genuine low point supporting the club.

WTF happened to my life?
at 09:50 12 Nov 2020

Hi all

Don't post on here often but thought I would add to this. I feel your pain Red Ranger, it's exactly the same for me and most people. Everything I love doing has been taken away from me and at times it feels like there will never be an end to it. The gym, playing football, watching football, travelling, gigs, museums, socialising all gone and all we're left with is working and sleeping.

I will say though (and this is the reason I'm posting I suppose) that this will pass, it may take a while but it will and for that I'm sure. For me personally (and I won't go into detail) 2019 was the worst year I have ever experienced but I survived it and those bad times came to end so please believe me when I say at some point in the future, life how we knew it will come back and when it does it will taste very sweet.
