Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem in Nottingham.

Built into cliffs below Nottingham Castle.

Used to claim to be oldest pub in England.

The nillest nil nil that ever did nil – Report
at 23:20 9 Nov 2025

Don't take this the wrong way Clive but would always rather have you honest than happy! Great report. Personally think Sheffield press right, they should have won easily. But it's a game of opinions innit, and respect yours, earned by many years of no bullshit, no happy clappy match reports following the basket case that is the Superhoops. Also think you would be a better manager than some we have had.

Hamer - how was his debut?
at 17:39 9 Nov 2025

100 percent improvement on Nardi. Showed his defenders early on he was coming for crosses and bashed Dunne in the process. Made a couple of fantastic saves. Rangers would have lost without him in goal. So, fantastic debut.

Queens Park Razors hopefully taking the edge off. Sheff Utd vs QPR match thread
at 18:34 8 Nov 2025

'You make your own luck in this game'. Hard fought point away to a team in just as crap form as Rangers has to be a net positive. Charity Park Rangers did not give anything away for free. Stephan deserves praise (won't get that from many on here) for circling the wagons and getting all the pre-game calls right. 1) drop liability goalkeeper TICK, 2) keep Mbengue in team TICK, 3) shift Dunne to CB TICK, 4) recall Steve Cook TICK, 5) reward a player in form with start in Dembele who finished Southampton debacle so well TICK, 6) follow a game plan where we actually look dangerous in attack as compared to limp display at Derby TICK, 7) get your most skilful players to track back to protect wings TICK.

Far from ideal or perfect but stubborn and bloody-minded draw showing coach is learning lessons.

Dave Barton on the always excellent Hoops and Dreams preview show on YouTube predicted a loss, and said he would be delighted with a draw. So happy journey back to DB and the rest of 1500 traveling fans.

My experience last Saturday
at 19:56 3 Nov 2025

Chiming in from LA (Dodgers world champs and LAFC going all trembley over Son) to say there is a great chain of 3/4 Lebanese places in LA County called Cafe X2O. Food very good and hookahs (stop it) at every other table. I go to the one in Monrovia which is not only the capital of Liberia but a town in the San Gabriel Valley east of LA.

As someone who grew up a mile and a half from the ground, think Westfields is tremendous, however touristy it is. Real improvement on the quality of life for the area.

Nardi now ahead in Dodgy Keeper stakes. Faulty positioning at free kick. Hayden needless foul.

Dodgy keepers and Walton actually worse than Nardi. Also Kone looks re-energized. Had his Weetabix.

From a Liverpool Message Board…..

I was 15 when QPR shoulda won the league and decades of up and downs since have lowered my expectations.

Would be happy with 1) cup run of any kind, 2) playoff push, 3) 10 goal plus striker, c'mon Kone.

Not exactly 'pig in shite' territory.

Ipswich are no Norwich, alas.

Tough game and tough to call.

But would be happy with draw.

Can't see Rangers clean sheet, so 1-1.

Woe is LA!

The curse of Meghan and Harry who turned up at Game Four in Dodger caps and were roundly booed by fans when shown on the big screen.

The surprise is not just on but likely at this point.

Washington Post headline: The Dodgers stopped hitting, and the World Series suddenly flipped.

My headline: Rich kid schoolyard bully has now had his pants pulled down by plucky Canucks!

Plucky to a point: Blue Jays payroll is a fat $255 million, 5th in baseball. Paupers, no but good yes.

And politically Canada beating US of A at its own self-stled 'national past-time' has a ton of resonance, of course, given cross border trade war.

Glimmer of hope: Dodgers ace Yamamoto starting pitcher in Game Six on Halloween Night in Great North.

He's only coming off two complete games in a row. Kinda like Coventry putting together back to back 7-1 wins.

And if baseball is still all Greek to you ('glorified rounders innit?!) well there is some soccer/football/futbol news out of 'Tinseltown', 'La La Land' as no-one locally calls LA.

The mighty black and gold of LAFC won their first playoff game against Austin last night 2-1.

But MLS still v much fifth billing or less behind MLB Dodgers, NBA Lakers and Clippers, NFL Rams and Chargers, and NHL Kings.

And that's with the other LA Team, the less-than-stellar Galaxy being current MLS Champs.

Fear and gloom in LA!

They will now have to win series in Toronto.

Top local sports columnist blasting Dodgers 'damn awful bullpen'.

Maybe Ohtani is human.

Game 5 on Wednesday basically must win for LA.

And if this is all Greek to you, oh well. Better than overpraised, muscled and moneyed NFL anyway.

And here's hoping England put up a fight in Ashes tour.

Except if you live in LA where it is All Hail The Dodgers!

At least not Yankees and best coast West Coast while not the elitist styling of San Francisco Giants.

Also Ohtani and Yamamoto like watching Pele or Maradona play football, Tiger in his prime golf, Steve Davis snooker. That good even if they are hired hands bought for gazillions.

Sometimes the rich kid schoolyard bully is just better than you.

We Love LA.

And don't sleep on true hero of 18-inning epic, Red bead journeyman relief pitcher Will Klein.

Good call on Woody Allen.

Would add Sue Townsend for Adrian Mole books and The Queen and I.

Also...to really posh it up...Candide by Voltaire. Very funny. No really. Maybe Monsieur Stephan read it at school?

The Eustace enigma – Preview
at 23:39 25 Oct 2025

Maybe Eustace not so much an enigma.

5 at back, crowd em out. Make Rangers look soft as you know what again.

Derby deploy wheeled cannon, spit on it, basic Pulis-ball.

Also Morris, Brereton-D and Agyemang (not that one) v good trio up top for them.

Thought American Agyemang best player on pitch.

But negative as all get out.

Remember when everyone was saying Warbs Warburton had no Plan B?

Superhoops looked that way again as well as knackered, with the ball never sticking with Kone.

Add on that Eustace wanted to stuff old employer and Rangers ended up looking really bad.

Clive, apologies for nicking all your phrases but think your midtable prediction for blunt horned 'Rams' looks a good one.

HT possession can as ever 'do one'. Still 54 percent to Rangers. More to the point, one total shot all half and that was off target.

Foregone conclusion as Rangers up to 54 percent possession. They are going to out-direct us.
