I'm 52 and feel exactly the same. Nothing like it. Must be our age!

Well. Driving to the game as a present for my 15 year old sons birthday. I have tried to show him the delights of non league football with HHampton and Richmond but the blue and white hoops run through him and me like a stick of rock. I am going for a tactical masterclass 3-0 victory. Any tips on where to park would be useful.

Who was a better player? Michael Meaker or Tony Scully
at 07:24 29 Jul 2023

The times they are a changing. Give me these two legends above Cesar and Bosingwa. We are heading back to the bargain basement and I much prefer this. Limited but interesting players. Anyway it is the grim Meaker for me. Primarily due to his outstanding performance away at Highbury when he transformed into Ginola and ripped them to shreds. Mind you Scully's volley away to Oxford in a humiliating defeat was something special. But Meaker for ne. Would welcome your thoughts.

Lower Loft safe standing
at 09:02 28 Jul 2023

I went there with my son. Last season. Enjoyed it. Bearing in mind I only managed to see 3 home games last year with an aggregate of 0-9. That is some statement. I also went to Fleetwood away. Anyway, everybody stood throughout the game. Some older guy was shouting at everyone to wave the flags harder before the game. Nice sentiment not very well expressed.

I was in South Africa Rd and the crosses Shodipo put in were ideal for a late run by a central midfielder. Unfortunately Tim was shackled to the half way line by tge system and was miles away. Stuart Wardley would have bagged a brace!

It is disappointing that we missed out on opportunities earlier but we are where we are. Am a bit of a lapsed QPR fan and have been to most Hampton and Richmond home games in last few years. Lowe was outstanding for Hampton a massive cut above anyone else in the division. Pace and very good technical ability. Of course it is a Mile away from the championship but he really stood out. Watched Shannon Baptiste on loan here and here and he was good but nowhere near Lowe. He is currently playing for Brentford. Think Lowe will do very well.

Just when you think....

What I would give for a 'Mad dog' Martin Allen. He was not gifted technically but by god he gave 100% for every second he was on the pitch. Every sinew, every pumping vein in his head. In a way you can't get that far beyond your technical deficiencies as a player but you can give 100% in training and on the pitch. It hurts but it is not hard. Sadly missing yesterday.

Just back. Have had a good 4 and a bit hours on the M6 M40 to process this. Firstly, fair play to Fleetwood.. got there early, friendly stewards, shared friendly bar and quality stewarding during the game. Really that is where the positives end up. I think we and I can be guilty of projecting our own feelings sometimes and expecting the players to show maybe a grain of loyalty and desire to play for the club. Maybe this is gone in modern football but yet I see it in other players. Luton players. Fleetwood players. Not in our players. Who exactly. Really wanted to be out there today playing for QPR. Dickie? Dunne? Field? Kakay? Dieng? Who else if even these guys did? I think Northern used to call Jenas the friendly ghost well Dozell played the part to perfection today. Who was consistently everywhere where the ball was not. Grab the game by the scruff if the neck for gods sake. Run into the box. Anything. Not all his fault but today felt like a real line in the sand. The majority of this squad will have to be moved on by Critchley if we want to move on as a club. It is rotten to the core. I don't know why. There are not enough players who care. What worries me us who is looking into the integrity of these players before signing them on loan or otherwise. Where is the hunger? Where is the desire? I actually really don't care if we are a mid table championship side as it reflects our reality but I do care that they don't seem to care. I am ranting now and beed to further tuck into my Mt Gay rum so will leave it there.

What an unbelievable difference. The first half was incredible. Every first ball, every second ball and all the balls in between. Played quicker, plated braver, played with spirit. A complete transformation. Sheffield United looked ordinary. So good to see. Pride is vack in this team. Sure, the last minute goal is a gutter but I think this is bigger than that. Many; including myself were predicting a really tough remainder of the season. This shows what can ve done. Great credit to all involved. The nanager the players the fans. Ok I may be getting carried away but this felt like a completely different team. Great to see.

Undoubtedly Stuart Wardley's fault. He would have timed that late run into the box to convert those early crosses.

You are right. There was very little link up between Dykes and Robers bar one quality cross he delivered. The long ball to Dykes was only ever any use if it was to his chest so he could hold it up. The Luton defenders could effectively let him win the aerial battle as there was nobody within 30 yards of him.

Please don't despair of me. A waste of despair when there are plenty more things going on in the world to despair about. I. am saying what I saw. Very subjective. In a poor team performance .I thought he was trying to be progressive and link up play. Obviously a game of opinions and I do not despair of yours.

Completely lacking from start to finish. Luton were quicker, more decisive and made better decisions throughout. I watched their subs warming up at half time and they played high intensity possession games throughout. I looked over to our half and nothing. A few keepy ups and the odd flick. No wonder Wilock looked undercooked when he came on. Something does seem amiss. Also, very disappointed to see Tim shackled to a deep lying defensive role. He is a game breaker and we need him higher up the pitch. He looked totally disinterested today. No excuse for that but when you lack attacking options it is a waste playing him there. I was very willing to lambast Tyler Roberts today as I have not liked his body language anytime I have seen him play but he played well today. Never thought I would say that

Well that was a chastening experience. Not been to HQ since the Reading game and chose this one for my sons fourteenth birthday present. He is on the phone to childliine as we speak! First half was really vad. So much time and space afforded to Burnley who are a very good team. We backed off and backed off allowing Jack Cork to run the show. Thomas very ineffective and I was very disappointed with Dozell who seemed to be anywhere the ball wasn't one rip roaring tackle notwithstanding.
I actually thought the second half was much better as we played quicker and with more purpose. Shodipo was good and bug Tim played more centrally and with purpose. We stayed to tge end but fully understand thise who didn't. Also was impressed with Dykes. Won nearly all headers and tried his best to link up play. Surprised Richards did not get on. There is talent in this squad and I yhink we will be mid table fine reflecting or slightly overperforming against our financial restraints.

There is no higher accolade for me. Macca would run headfirst through a brick wall for the team. What a hero.

I said to my son the other day that I hadn't seen a premiership goal this season. Just have zero interest. I am also a lapsed QPR supporter and attend Hampton and Richmond home and some away games. I am probably a hopeless romantic but it feels so genuine. Blokes on £150 a week giving their all. In my heart I will always be QPR and find myself increasingly wanting to get back there. This current set up is the best we gave had in years and the community work is outstanding. Long may we settle on the moral high ground. The Saudi state owning a British club is wrong on so many levels but as other posters have said is legitimised by the governments selling of arms.

Dominic Ball : Club legend

Totally agree with this. On a number of occasions his first touch allowed him to turn a player and drive down the pitch. I was watching on a small laptop and I just assumed it must be Chair who has that technical ability. Nice to know Ball also has this in his locker.

Efan sounded depressed throughout. I mean as QPR fans this is allowed but a paid commentator. Other comnentaror kept saying Fulham had bossed the last ___ minutes when they clearly had not.
