Matos is certainly a believer in team philosophy.
This is evident from the club video capturing his first day when he addressed all the staff at Fairwood catering folk included explaining how he saw them all as part of the team ....followed up by the video where he shares his manager of the month award with all the staff....chefs too...
I suspect this is why the likes of Walta may have been moved on....only time will tell but Matos certainly believes in a while team principle |

tis the Championship we have been here long enough to know that.
How often has it been seen that teams around the bottom get wins against top teams.
We got lucky with our forat two goals but thats what it is about making the most of chances.
We produced a great chance for Idah to add a second goal and go three up just before half time but their keeper saved.
We would all love for our games to be like that first half against Watford but like the famous West Brom game under Luadrup its not always possible.
As you say second in the table at the same point last season we were 13th with 9pts and a GD of 1 |

agree with a lot of that...our problem wasnt due to the changes at the back...more with the changes in our attacking personnel as our press was less efficient but the Southampton players exploited our spaces at the back....the second goal came as a resultnof Tymon being high up the pitch and the offside trap not working Welsh had too much ground to make up....
As has been said Matos and his staff need to analyse this game and learn from it |

How can we be so sure it is Cabangos return which has had a detrimental effect?
Starting with Vip over Idah did that have detrimental effect? Would Idah have buried the chance Vip squandered?
Should Eom have started?
Southampton are a good side they have quality in Downes,Scienza and Ward-Prowse.
This result may have been the same had Cabango not played.. |

Whilst all the talk has been about our defence ,not much has been said about us not converting chances,when 1 nil down Stamenic presentd Vip with a great chance yet he failed to connect that goes in we are back to all square and it has an effect on Southampton.
Matos hopefully will learn from tonight,its not a disaster, need to regroup and ret a result on Saturday |

People bemoan Key's defending ,how would he have coped with Scienza had we stuck to the back 4 which started against Wrexham.
We as fans are entitled to opinions but its the Manager who knows players best what they are capable of and what is needed in certain games.
Southampton have a lot of quality in their side.....tonight's loss is not the end of the world....Matos will learn from tonight. |
