Swansea City v Blackburn Rovers : Match Thread
at 10:28 1 Nov 2026

Its something most fans dont do or appreciate and you never will undersatnd it from watchimg on tv.
Many years ago an ex player of ours told me to follow a player and not the ball especially a player whose selection is criticsed...it is an eyeopener

Goals ? The answer is staring Matos straight in the face

I dont think that was the case yesterday, with Lissah and Key back its less of an issue
Monga was ready to come on before Lissah's issue

Monga was stripped and ready to come on but Lissah indicated to the bench he had a problem so the substitutiin changed with Key replacing Lissah

Swans defender Stephen Welsh : Is exhaustion playing a part ?
at 09:40 28 Oct 2026

Totally agree I dont get this thing anout proffesional sportpersons being fatigued or exhausted.
They train to be fit, they have dieticians, sports scientists monitoring them.
They exert them selves for a max of 270 mins a week if there are 3 games and them its not flat out for the full 90 mins in each game.

Many of our forfathers did heavy physical work sometimes 12 hours a day 5 or 6 days a week.

Only 10 outfield players?

only 3 at the back?

maybe backline of Lissah,Cabango,Welsh Tymon
use that midfield

at 20:22 27 Oct 2026

So true....alledgedly he is crap with the ball at his feet yet misswd his dribble from just inside our half...and into the West Ham penalty area

Apparantly he is to blame for all the QPR goals too....I sometimes wonder what games some of or fans are watching

As i have posted elswhere here...Walta played for almost the whole of the second half v Charlton last season and apart from one long range shot and his worldie free kick he had little impact

The same Burgess sonmamy were decryimg last season.....mainly for his own goals!
Folk were eulogising over the Welsh Lissah partnership whichn ookwd good agaimst all those lower table clubs we played which took us to a position some say was false due to thenfact we had hardly played against the "better" sides.....
It is all anout opinions thiough

5-0 ! Swans thrashed as questions will be asked for sure
at 11:08 25 Oct 2026

Once again Richard younare the voice of reason and another well written opinion

In fairness to Matos he has put his hands up for this one and maybe he underestimated QPR given their recent run of results.

Injuries are not helpimg him either, losing Yeo and Ronald are blows and whilst we are hearing calls for Monga what makes folk so certsin he is fully ready given the apparent issues we have had explained to us.

The Blackburn game will tell us a lot about Matos.....hopefully he will have us back to winning ways
