As things stand, Blackpool are being dragged right into the relegation mire
To be absolutely blunt, we need to beat them on NYD or face being cast adrift. Unless decent players see some prospect of enjoying their football, it'll massively reduce our chances of signing anyone worth having in the January window
The manager has shown in the past that he knows how to put a team onto the field that'll play with the right energy and simplicity and i'm hoping the teamsheet reflects that at 2pm on Monday
Blackpool equalize with probably last kick of the game, giving them a boost coming into Monday's fixture. Sounds like a hard-fought game though, and we'll have had more recovery time
Can't believe Mk have beaten Peterborough with 9 men for nearly an hour! Massive game Blackpool now for us.

6 points adrift of safety now so getting serious. Blackpool game is huge as is the whole of January with 2 cups and a transfer window as well. Not lost hope yet but if we get cast 9 or 10 points adrift by the end of the month with no one coming in then that's it.
Taking the last 22 games of 2016/17 our performance was:
W6 D9 L7 - 27 points
We need a minimum of 28 points to get to the magical 50.
We must take points off everyone we play who is currently in the bottom half and avoid defeat and turn 7 wins. A big ask.
It's a good point and shows how difficult the task ahead of us is. Oldham and Gillingham have both been in good form lately and picked up some good results, yet they're both still just outside the relegation zone. If we leave it too late to turn our form around then even good form won't be enough to save us.

Two teams suffering from similar poor form.
Since beating Peterborough on 18 November, Blackpool in 8 league matches have taken 4 points - drawn 4 and lost 4 (for 9 goals, against 14).
In Dale's last 8 we got 5 points: drawn 2, lost 5, won 1 (Peterborough on 25 November); for 8, against 14.
Although the bookies offer shorter odds on a Dale win, the form book would suggest a low-scoring draw, and a point would be more useful to the Seasiders than to us.
I take no confidence from the fact that Blackpool haven't won a league game at Spotland.
But there's still a lot of points to play for. However, the experience of the last two seasons might have skewed the views of some fans. Last season, after a poor start, we had that six-match unbeaten run. In 2015-16 from the last 17 matches we took 32 points (won 9, drawn 5, lost 3). This season, recent performances don't offer much optimism of so many points from the remaining 22 matches,

3 to 1 against a red card tomorrow? on 21:13 - Dec 31 with 2437 views
Just to add a little more uncertainty to the mix, the referee is Anthony Backhouse, who in his first season at this level has shown 7 red cards in 21 matches.
I've just accidentally looked at the league table. I'm depressed now. We need to win tomorrow. Then we need to sign about half-dozen players. Then for world peace.
