That’s more like it. Rafferty, Dooley and Hendo combine beautifully.

Looks like Moore has cost us a penalty.

Borderline penalty that could have gon either way but a good save. Cracking game and we could have got a couple of goals on the break. Can’t see it finishing 1-0 but would love to be wrong. They will definitely get more chances so I think we need another 1 [ at least!]

We’re playing well on the break, as Charlton build from the back. Good contest.

Last 20 minutes we have created some of our best football for some time. Haven’t scored and hopefully we don’t pay for that later. Very good to watch

Wish it was full time though

We've played well. Both teams will think they should have scored more than they have.

McGahey has been like a brick wall at the back.

Both sides looking good going forward. Hard to see it finishing 1 nil. Overall its the best I've seen us play for ages.

Sounds like Charlton are singing the Joey T chant? Certainly sounded like they were, same tune at least, nice gesture if it was the case.

Great win and performance all round. Same team for Luton

Good save by Moore despite him looking like he can't see anything.

Williams totally isolated upfront. Looks lost.

Free kick straight through Moore into the net
Luckily someone was offside.

Williams off Andrew on. Right call imo.

Inman with a miss from 4 yard out and Hart with a ball across goal with no one on the end.

Hope we don't regret these missed chances.

Excellent result and a performance the fans want to see , we looked a lot more solid at the back, so credit were credit due so well done Keith, ( now let's make it 2 games without same mistakes)

Never expected it to finish 1.0, should of scored a couple more.

Very deserved win today.

Well done the defence in the second half. They shaded the second half but se battled well. Welcome back Sam Hart. Immense at both ends of the pitch and with McGahey would be my 2 MOM contenders. J Williams had one of his best 60 minutes in a Dale shirt and Dooley superb in the first half especially. One criticism would be with all the attacking we did in the first half we still only came away with 1 goal and they could have easily scored in the second half.

However I am pleased with that, more positives than negatives today ( for me anyway)

Fair play to Hill for sticking with Moore. Big performance that we can build on. Need to maintain some stability now with selection, cup games aside, particularly the back 5.

Hard work the second half but a great 3 points.

McGahey Mom by a mile for me.

Some interesting comments. Having just arrived home I am delighted that we won, but wonder how there was only one goal in the game.

I think we had much the better chances, and could (probably should) have scored three or four.

Hart had a superb game and was comfortably my MOM but honourable mentions must go to Hendo and McGahey., whilst Moore did well to save the penalty that he was at least partly to blame for, and also produced a fine save in the second half.

A much needed three points against a puzzling Charlton side, that has plenty of quality, but look to be three different sections of a team, with only the midfield doing well today.

Finally , a word for the referee. Hopeless.

The post match ales always taste better with a win. We rode our luck with the pen miss and disallowed goal and tbf a draw would’ve been fair. However I’m over the moon with that

Sam Hart for me - he looks a bloody brilliant find by Hill - so glad he came back after somehow not playing much last season - if we could sign him permanently that would be amazing. Big comparison - but his size and the way he runs past people reminds me of a young Gareth Bale.
Massive 3 points today.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
