Blimey - some pretty sobering stuff on here. Hope all those having contracted CV19 pull through and make a speedy recovery.

Nice message, thanks for posting it, DB. It’s great to hear that the staff have been improving things even when not allowed to go into work, and that the new ticketing system will be in place.

I noticed that, too.

Wishing a speedy recovery to all whom it may concern.

I wouldn't care who knew I had it. I've got it, despite taking all the recommended precautions and obeying all the rules. So what? It's not like it's some socially unacceptable unmentionable disease.

It's going through the country indiscriminately, picking victims at random. Provided that those persons mentioned have given their permission to be named, all's well. We're surely beyond the days when 'finger-pointing' was necessary to indicate victims of disease.

I hope those named persons make a full and speedy recovery, as well as the other named individual whose name has been edited out. Everybody stay safe. See you at the next match.

I do not know the man and woman who have passed on from the virus or what their roles at the club were but condolences to their family and may they rest in peace.

I wish all Dale fans to be safe & well in the most honest & truthful statement.

However I do question some of what he said. In times when furlough seems to be a norm nowadays, the back room, office, shop, lottery, community teams etc do not earn a fortune every year especially with all the hard work they do behind the scenes.

Yes, having a barcode entry system is a nice to have, does this not add all the turnstile employees will now be out of a part time job?? (Personally I would have preferred a scoreboard, at least it would generate income from advertisement and sponsorship so although not short term, it would eventually pay for itself).

Last point, is this the right time to be spending money on a barcode system?.. is it urgent?.. is it really necessary?... in a time like this, the money put aside would be better spent in making up the 20% deficit to the staff in appreciation for everything they do..

The batcode turnstyle could wait.
That money could have been better used on the non playing staff wages for instance.

If they had turnstiles which checked batcodes we might not be in this situation.

Presumably Bruce Wayne would? And maybe Alfred.

The ticketing couldn't really have waited as the clubs current online retail & ticketing provider is pulling out of the UK market in the next month so they had to get a new system in place regardless.
