We are really desperate for a couple of centre backs with lots of experience and build. The sight of Robert's at the side of there number 5 was embarrassing. I do think Robert's is a decent young player, but a centre half.??
Time I am sure to bring in some experience.

I've noticed this with other clubs - centre halves seem to get injured pretty easily these days. I grew up watching Ray Aspden and later on Colin Parry. They hardly ever got injured and appeared to be made from teak. The centre halves I played with and against were usually the toughest guys on the team, just like the keepers were the daftest. What's happened to modern centre halves ?

I think the games probably moved on as an athlete wise too, so they're all probably over trained to be where they need to be fitness level wise to what they needed back then.

Not been impressed by Roberts at all. As a defender he is always out of position. Too young and inexperienced in that role to be dropped in at this level. As for McNumpty he should of left 2 years ago. Shocking defender. We need a decent centre half. Scoring goals for fun but letting all that hard work down by conceeding more .

I was disappointed when Taft went to Bolton over the Summer, and same again recently as he’s moved to Scunthorpe on loan. He’s the type of CB that’d be perfect in my view.
Talking of Scunthorpe - over the years we seem to have done loads of business with them -
So what about another Omni Sports special and getting Harrison back?

If McShane is going to be injured between now and the end of the season, you'd like him to either retire now, or the club should try and come to some terms on a payout. He needs to be replaced by someone who is less injury prone who can mentor these young loanees.
