Why reward failure?
The club has regressed commercially and the cost base off field expanded under the direction of the current CE.
To elevate this failure to Executive Chairman would be totally unacceptable. I would hope that an incoming chairman would ensure the current autocracy is taken to heel and targets and results addressed in accordance with expectations. |

Who knows if the comfort blanket has now been removed and reality will bite?
Because going off this message board and other social media outlets tonight, there is a significant displeasure with the CE, being expressed eloquently and evidentially based and an incoming chairman - interim, non-exec or otherwise - would be wise to take into account the facts. |  |

"We contacted the club on Thursday evening regarding Chairman Andrew Kilpatrick’s resignation and met with the club on Friday to discuss it.
We have been assured by the club that the resignation is very much for personal reasons. His departure is very amicable and entirely in line with the reasons given, and there has been no falling out or disagreement whatsoever. The statement put out by the club on Thursday afternoon was very much in line with his wishes and he has made it clear to the club that he will continue to be a committed supporter and shareholder of the Football Club.
The Board will be meeting early next week to discuss his successor, and we will be meeting with the club once again next week to discuss this amongst other matters"

Might be quite the leap but I'd imagine (and hope) it's not health reasons given he was appointed director at Park Street Shipping Limited in January. Maybe it was just personal reasons to focus on work.

As the next biggest shareholder you would think that Andrew Kelly would become the next chur. Got to be honest, not been his biggest fan but he's Dale through and through and more importantly he's local.
