Yeah not surprised by that, I reckon The Sandy has had it's capacity reduced quite a bit over the years & I'm not 100% sure but looks like some seats in the first row of Willbutts removed to create accessible spaces for away fans as those regulations have required more since it was built.
Biggest crowds I can remember are:
Darlington 9,870
Newcastle 8,594
Spurs 8,480
But I've always thought that Darlington one was a mistake, there were 2 empty blocks in the Willbutts which is roughly 1000 seats so maths doesn't work there. I'm guessing it could have been in reality 8,870 or 8,970 & been a typo. |  |

Yes - in my Head I thought Leeds was a 10,000 game - but records show it was 8200 or so. So we look full with 2000 seats empty against the original 10,247 capacity.
Anyhow, lets hope we can get close to 8,000 on Sunday. Let the bars and kiosks fill their boots. A similar atmosphere to Saturday and we are set up nicely. | | | |

How is 2375 25% of the capacity? If that's the case there should be 7125 home tickets available.

I agree with that logic. The club has to share ticket revenue 50:50 with Scunthorpe after core operating costs are deducted. So it is in both clubs interest to max out the attendance. Will be interesting to see if we magically find more than 5640 tickets for the home ends. They can only give out 50 free tickets for the game - so the rest will need to pay. I hope that the exiles that missed out on Saturday now get a chance to get a ticket. It is a bank holiday weekend and the trains are a mess so it may be a problem for some. | | | |

If 2375 is reflective of a true 25% capacity, i.e. 9500, with 1275 Willbutts seats unused, the number of available home tickets would be 5850

Could be that both home and away totals were actual attenders rather than tickets sold. There were a small number of empty seats in the Pearl St [Post edited 29 Apr 17:53]

You raise a good point
In addition, when the club announced tickets going on general sale at 3pm today, it was specified that a Fanbase account was required PLUS you had to be "following" the club
When i logged in (at 2.55pm), i knew i had a purchasing history, but was unsure whether i was "following" in the sense that the club meant. One of the options that pops up is to sign up to Dale comms via the app. So when the app was showing "no tickets for sale" for about 15 minutes, i tried doing that (just to be sure) but it kept crashing
Eventually, at 3.30ish, i was able to purchase a ticket
My point here is that - though it might be obvious to most what "following" entails (and i usually understand what it means) there was a real concern that because i hadn't signed up to Dale comms that i'd be excluded from buying a ticket. Others of my generation may need these things making crystal clear, to avoid unnecessary hassle | |
