Is this the same Williamson who effectively got Carlisle relegated to the NL? I am weary about appointing somebody with little EFL management experience, yes he may be a good fit and may succeed. I am weary in that if we appoint another Stockdale, we could end up back in the nightmare of the NL, which I dread and I accept that we could appoint an experience EFL manager and it goes pear shape, so in truth any appointment carries risk. According to the Southend forum, they are also interested in Watson.
I expect the board will look at all the options, may it be Watson, Wild, Manning or Robinson or somebody else, we need a manager who will re-establish ourselves us as an EFL club once again. Yes it may succeed, but look at Williamson or Elliott, both looked good at Gateshead in the NL, but failed in the EFL. So hopefully the board will consider the candidates and make the right choice as manager. I am hoping the club can hold onto Taylor and Done, which I doubt, because they were I feel key factors in our promotion last season. [Post edited 7 Jun 19:01]

It has to be us or Salford. Might be wrong but this doesn't strike me as a Salford type of appointment, surely they'd only go for a name or a manager with EFL experience like previous [Post edited 8 Jun 9:14]
