When i praised Liverpool fans a few years ago for the way they greeted their own team coach ahead of European games, I was slagged off and told that they were a load of bin dipping hooligans and this behaviour was out of order.

Now we have got in on the act it is the best thing ever.

NB I brought this up before they had the bottle throwing incident against Man City

It's simple. One is the team we support; the other isn't.

Big difference our fans didn’t attack the opposition teams coaches, as Liverpool fans have done on several occasions

It was actually one occasion when a bottle was thrown at the bus, as I said Liverpool had done it several times before that incident, but they derided for just doing it with many criticising the use of flares

I still don't really see the point of it but fair play some of the nippers seemed to enjoy it.

I had decent beer in a proper pub and enjoyed the sun instead

Doesn't it just give them yet another reason they've been unfairly treated? Self-pity-city and all that...

The Liverpool fans greet the coach and then go to the pub whilst the tourists take their seats in the ground.

It’s the Liverpool Way.

Years ago, went to a Saints game at Old Trafford and stayed up for the weekend with a mate that lived in Ancoats before it was redeveloped. They took us to see Bernard Manning at the Embassy Club in the evening - one joke he told about going to Anfield was as he parked up near the ground a kid asked him for a couple of quid to mind his car. Manning told him to F off and said he didn’t need his car minding because he had a Rottweiler on the back seat - the kid replied, OK, is it any good at putting out fires? 😀
